2. Review of Financial Statement
Brian James & Zinnia Reed clarified, under the previous arrangement, our storage expenses were encumbered
annually. However, with the implementation of the new storage contract, payments are now processed on a monthly
basis. The finance department records each monthly invoice in its respective accounting period. Furthermore, due to
the billing cycle of the bank statements, storage fees will continue to appear as covering two months on a single
statement.
Council Liason Guerrero asked for clarification on how expenses are specifically categorized/classified. Brian to
clarify with James Walters on accurate classification. Angie Fain motioned to approve all finance reports for
November, December & January, Lauren Dalton seconded.
Motion passed unanimously
Updates
Policies and Procedures for SHPC: Champion - Chris Hormel.
Chris will be sending a draft of the Policies and Procedures for our review before the March meeting. We will
provide our suggested edits to Chris prior to the meeting, and he will submit the final draft to Brian James by
March 21st at the latest. This will ensure it is included in our agenda for action at the March 26th meeting.
Trivia Night: Champion Sophie Rodriguez and Angie Fain support.
Brian James will contact Cassie to confirm if Crossvine has granted us final approval to collaborate on one of
their movie in the park nights for a historical trivia event. As a backup option, it was proposed to hold the
trivia at the Senior Center if the movie night doesn't work out. Once again, this will be discussed with Cassie
Paddock, who also manages the Senior Center. Sophie is champion on this initiative and will follow up
accordingly. The only remaining challenge for hosting the event at the Senior Center is that it needs to take
place during the day, while most committee members are typically at work.

Maggie is progressing and on track to get the thumb drive to Marc Thornton at Samuel Clemens
before April 1st, for the history class to sort through and organize

April 5th Farmers Market at Pickrell Park to be covered by Roz, Chris, and Kathleen. Others of the

stands, books to sell etc) and will have this to potentially present at the March meeting. Supporters
for the Kris Kringle market from the committee will be revisited in June.
