Maggie motioned to approve with amendment, Sophie seconded to approve.     2.Review of Financial Statement - February 2025 Financial Report March 26, 2025  Schertz Historical Agenda                                Page 1  2.Review of Financial Statement - February 2025 Financial Report Brian provided a thorough explanation of how the budget is distributed based on various types of requested expenses. In addition, detailed reports from the finance department will be shared with the board for review. Maggie decided to postpone the approval of the February 2025 Financial Statement until it can be revisited at the April SHPC meeting.   3.Application for landmark property or heritage neighborhood - 420 Curtiss Ave, Schertz, TX / Court & Sarah Hewell Sarah and Court Hewell, owners and applicants seeking Landmark Property Designation for 420 Curtiss Ave, Schertz, TX, provided a detailed overview of their historic residence. They detailed the structural repairs completed and are seeking approval for historic designation in order to secure a grant for further repairs that meet current codes and standards. Maggie proposed a motion to approve the designation for council consideration, which was motioned by Roz, seconded by Sophie.   4.Updates  Policies and Procedures for SHPC: Champion/Chris Hormel - Chris requested that our timeline be moved to the April meeting. He will send us a draft for review, and we will include it as an action item on the next agenda. Trivia Night: Champion/Sophie Rodriguez, Support/Angie Fain - Mark calendars for June 6th at 7 PM at Ashley Park for our upcoming trivia night. Marc and Sophie will collaborate to finalize the details and present them at our next meeting. We will offer our "Cut Off" shirts as prizes and will also look into supplementing or requesting business donations for additional prizes. Sophie has been designated to find out and or decide if we can project the trivia game code on the screen, or should stick with signs as we did previously. Sort Photos: Champion/Maggie Titterington, Support/Marc Thornton-Clemens History Club - Maggie shared the Google link with Marc to sort photos and group/categorize similar ones. She suggests it would be helpful to include descriptions of what each photo represents. Aiming to complete this by the end of school year. Schertz Historical Calendar: Champion/Roz Wise, Support/Angie Fain - Roz is creating a mock-up and is considering adding a collage of additional photos at the end of the calendar. Angie has suggested a few potential photographers, but we prefer to work with a high school student to encourage collaboration and give them credit in the calendar. Brian reminded us to obtain the property owner's permissions, if required, for any photos taken. Choosing City Events to Support: Champion/Kathleen Samsey - Kathleen won't be able to assist with the April event, but Chris and Roz will be present. Anyone else interested in attending is directed to reach out to them. Kathleen also wishes to review the calendar for another event to support. Once an event is selected, it will require a champion and additional support from multiple members. Street Signs: Champion/Roz Wise/Brian James, Support/Zii Reed/Maggie Titterington - A mock-up will be prepared for the next meeting, featuring two designs;one with the logo and another with the wording "Historical Designation" alongside the street name. The sign will be Schertz branded burnt orange color. Unique Plaque Designs for Landmark Properties: Champion/Becki Babcock, Support/Zinnia Reed - As the Schertz Hospital plaque design was well-received, that design has been approved. Brian and Zii are to check on pricing and/or the creator of that plaque.   Requests and Announcements  March 26, 2025  Schertz Historical Agenda                                Page 2  Requests and Announcements  Business Cards - Completed Brochures - Completed No additional requests   Adjournment/Next Meeting Date  Meeting adjourned 7:33pm Wednesday, April 23, 2025, 6:00 PM, Bob Andrews Conference Room   CERTIFICATION I, ______________________, ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT, CITY MANAGEMENT OFFICE, OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS, DO HEREBY CERTIFY THAT THE ABOVE AGENDA WAS PREPARED AND POSTED ON THE OFFICIAL BULLETIN BOARDS ON THIS THE ____ DAY OF ___________, 2024 AT _______ WHICH IS A PLACE READILY ACCESSIBLE TO THE PUBLIC AT ALL TIMES AND THAT SAID NOTICE WAS POSTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH CHAPTER 551, TEXAS GOVERNMENT CODE.    Name Here   I CERTIFY THAT THE ATTACHED NOTICE AND AGENDA OF ITEMS TO BE CONSIDERED BY THE CITY COUNCIL WAS REMOVED BY ME FROM THE OFFICIAL BULLETIN BOARD ON _____DAY OF _______________, 2024.
