ITEM #I CALL TO ORDER
Ms. Jackie Jones called the meeting to order at 7:30 a.m.

The Foundation did not have a quorum.
Those present discussed expansion of the Schertz Development
Foundation roles. They discussed the roles of the Foundation, the
Schertz Business Association and the Northeast Partnership and Ms.
Madison suggested the possibility of forming another group.
Ms. Madison advised that several of the small cities in this area have
come together to discuss business developments in this area. She
suggested that this group of people might form another group. She
suggested they might be called Northeast Partners for Progress. She
suggested that rather than representing the whole corridor between San
Antonio and Austin, this group might represent the cities in this
northeast region. There is a Northeast Partnership but they have become
more political and are not focused on economic development. The focus
of the Northeast Partners for Progress would be economic development.
