The Transportation Safety Advisory Commission (TSAC) will convene on
Thursday, March 4, 2004
6:30pm in the Municipal Complex Conference Room, 1400 Schertz
Parkway, Schertz, Texas. The Agenda is as follows:
1. Call to Order
2. Review and Approval of Minutes: February 5, 2004
3. Election of Chairman and Vice Chairman
4. Citizens to be heard.
5. Review of Traffic Ordinance, Stopping, Standing and Parking
6. Consider preparation of the Jay Walking Ordinance
7. Discuss the formation of a working committee to write an
ordinance covering rules for approval of speed humps.
8. Prepare directions for FM 1518 relocation of Corbett school zone
flashers to meet state transportation codes. Patricia Ramirez
9. FM 3009 No U-turn policy
10. Installing a yellow left turn arrow following the green arrow for
traffic crossing the bridge at FM 3009 & IH 35.
11. Amy Madison MPO on FM 1518 status with TxDot. Should we
seek Senator assistance to repair asphalt beginning at Main St.
(FM 1518) at Railroad crossing towards IH 35.
12. Bicycle Safety Course -look into mandatory helmet law (to include
scooters). This is from the October 30, 2003 agenda.
13. Status on narrowing the Woodbridge entrance island at Schertz
Parkway/Woodland Oaks. This is from September 4, 2003 agenda.
14. Norma Paschal Elementary school/The Ridge of Carolina crossing
update, and discuss need for additional crosswalk.
15. Review streets in need of new pavement covering.
16. General discussion to include new concerns by commission
members. Solicit new members.
17. Adjournment
