The Transportation Safety Advisory Committee (TSAQ will convene on
Thursday, December 6, 2001
at 6:30 P.M. in the Municipal Complex Conference Room, 1400 Schertz
Parkway, Schertz, Texas. The agenda is as follows:

4. Lone Oak/Rio Vista Neighborhood Organization Concerns with
Michael Warneke, Chairman.
S. Hazardous Materials transportation briefing and discussion with
Glen Outlaw, Schertz Fire Marshall.
6. General discussion to include new concerns.

i. Dave Allen talked at length with Mr. Byran Hocher,
TxDot District Engineer on 10/1 . He said that he had
sent a memo with our concerns to Clay Smith. Mr.
Smith had indicated that he was going to do a study of
IH 35 and would then be in contact with the City of
Schertz for discussion

1. Dave Allen talked at length with Mr. Byran
Hocher, TxDot District Engineer, on 10/1 and
again on 10/16. He said that he had prepared a
cost estimate and forwarded to Clay Smith,
District Engineer, for construction of
acceleration/deceleration lanes on FM 3009. On
10/16 he indicated he would be in touch with his
supervisor and discuss our concerns, especially
the speed limit. He would keep me posted.
