1. Status of 4 way stop @ Wiederstein and IH 35 access. What is
the timeline for installation?
Dale Picha said that stop signs would be installed on both sides
of IH 35 access roads at Wiederstein Rd. Estimated time
installation would be around the middle of April 2006. Mr.
Picha said a portable sign -notifying motorist of the future
installation of the stop signs would be put up in advance. Mr.
Picha also suggested putting this change on the City's website.
2. Status of FM 78 and FM 3009 u-turn issue.

If City of Schertz forms an ordinance for ixg no u-turn
sus at FM 78 and FM 3009. TxDot will install the signs.
3. Drainage issue @ Wiederstein and IH 35 and TxDot solution.
No time frame for improvements. Estimates have been sent.
TxDot is in the process of trying to get funding.
4. Status of the right turn only sign at Corridor Parkway and FM
3009.
Existing is TxDot's standard design. No existing safety issues at
this location. No signage needed at this time.
5. "Do Not Block Intersection" sign at FM 78 at Cloverleaf, and FM
78 and River Road.
Included in FM 3009/FM 78 intersection study, once completed
decisions will be made accordingly.
6. Criteria TxDot requires for "special signage".
All projects are design using the Texas
Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices. Special signage
requires special request with documentation showing
substantial justification and explanation of the problem.
7. Communication preferences between TSAC and TxDot.
TxDot has requested more elaboration when the City of Schertz
sends a complaint or question. ie; TSAC agenda.
8. Possibility of TxDot representative attending a TSAC meeting 1
or 2 times a year.
