TSAC PP May 7 2026TRANSPORTATION SAFETY ADVISORY COMMISSION Regular Meeting May 7, 2026 -5:30 PM Council Chambers RESIDENTS/VISITORS Please Sign In The Hearing of Residents is a time set aside for any person who wishes to address the Commission. Presentations should be limited to no more than 5 minutes.Each person should fill out the Speaker’s register prior to the meeting located in the lobby.The Commission can only discuss items that are on the agenda.Discussion by the Commission of any item not on the agenda shall be limited to statements of specific information given in response to any inquiry,a recitation of existing policy in response to an inquiry,a recitation of existing policy in response to an inquiry,and/or a proposal to place the item on a future agenda. The presiding officer,during the Hearing of Residents portion of the agenda,will call on those persons who have signed up to speak in the order they have registered.If you have any handouts to provide for the Commission,please visit a City Staff member prior to the meeting. 2 ITEM 1 – MINUTES Consideration and/or action regarding the approval of the minutes of the April 2, 2026, TSAC Meeting. 3 ITEM 2- TRAFFIC RELATED ITEM UPDATES a. ASHLEY PARK SPEEDING 4 Ashley Park Circle Center Line Striping will be done from Schertz Pkwy to Ashley Oak. Public Works will begin work on this early/mid May. ITEM 2 – TRAFFIC RELATED ITEM UPDATES b. HOLLERING VINE SPEEDING 5 Layout has been approved. Speed Humps have been ordered. ITEM 2 – TRAFFIC RELATED ITEM UPDATES c. PRIMROSE SCHOOL/MEDICAL BUILDINGS ACCESSING SCHERTZ PARKWAY 6 ITEM 2 – TRAFFIC RELATED ITEM UPDATES c. PRIMROSE SCHOOL/MEDICAL BUILDINGS ACCESSING SCHERTZ PARKWAY 7 ITEM 2 – TRAFFIC RELATED ITEM UPDATES d. CURLING POST AND SAGENITE SIGNAGE 8 Crossvine HOA has no objections to switching the Stop Sign placement. Message boards will be put up in the next few weeks. The process for signage change will begin once those are placed. ITEM 2 – TRAFFIC RELATED ITEM UPDATES e. LEE STREET – CHURCH/FOOD DONATION BLOCKING STREET 9 New process is in place for the food pantry and parking. Staff will conduct a site visit to ensure operation runs smoothly. LEE STREET – CHURCH/FOOD DONATION BLOCKING STREET 10 Cars will stack on Mill Street on the East side and then when spots open up on Lee Street, they will pull over and park on the north side of Lee Street in front of the pantry. The church also started using time slots last week to limit the number of cars arriving at one time. ITEM 2 – TRAFFIC RELATED ITEM UPDATES f. SPEEDING ON DEVONWOOD AND CYPRESS POINT 11 Layout has been approved. Speed Humps have been ordered. Flags and message boards were out for visibility. ITEM 2 – TRAFFIC RELATED ITEM UPDATES g.DAVENPORT SPEEDING-SIGNAGE REVIEW Public Works will be checking signage next week. Currently looking at the need for additional signs, increasing the sign size, adding flags, and dynamic signs. Police are continuing increased patrols. 12 ITEM 2 – TRAFFIC RELATED ITEM UPDATES h. GREEN VALLEY ROAD SCHOOL SIGNAGE 13 All-Way stop at this intersection is not warranted. Staff is reviewing signage plans for the School Zone. Site Visit will be conducted.
