AN ORDINANCE
SETTING A TIME, DATE AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC
HEARING ON-THE PROPOSID ANNEXATION OF ONE
GERI'AIN TRACT OF LAND CONTAINING 19.9 ACRES
OUT OF GUADALdJPE COUNTY, TEXAS BY THE CITY
OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS, AND .AUTHORIZING AND
DIRECPING THE CITY 5~'R~'A~' Ta PUBLISH
NOTICE OF SUCH PUBLIC HEARING
WfIEREA.S, the following described tract of land adjoining
the corporate limits of'the City of Schertz, Texas, and does not
exceed one (1) mile in width; and,
WfiF:RFAR, the City Council of the City of Schertz, Texas
is of the opinion that such territory is suitable and desirable for
municipal purposes and that it is in the best interest of the City
of Schertz, Texas and the citizens and inhabitants thereof that said
tract of land be annexed to and made a part of said City; and,
w~'RFAG, the City of Schertz, Texas interxls to annex said
land-by ordinance and in ~liance with the MUNICIPAL ANNEXATION
ACT (Chapter 160 ACTS of'the 58th Legislature, Regular Session, 1963,
as amended), codified as Article 970a, Texas Revised Civil Statutes,
at a scheduled public hearing as hereinafter provided in order to
furnish an opportunity for all interested citizens to be heard on such
proposed annexation: NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAIAIED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS:

What the City Council will hold a public hearing on the
day of ~ 1975 at 7:00 o'clock
P.M. in the Municipal Building of the City of Schertz, Texas in order
to furnish all interested persons a right to appear and be heard on
the proposed annexation of the following described tracts of Land,
to-wit:

The City Secretary is hereby authorized and directed
to cause notice of such public hearing to be published one time in
a newspaper having a general circulation in the City of Sehertz,
Texas and in the territory proposed to be annexed not more than
twenty {20) days nor less than ten (10) days prior to the date of
such public hearing.

BEGINNING at a point in the City limits line, which point is the most southerly
corner of Lone Oak Subdivision and said point being on the northeast line of
Bubbling Springs road and also being the northeast corner of a sewage treatment
plant site conveyed by Nelmuth Dietz, et ux, to the City of Schertz by deed
dated October 4, 1962, and recorded in Volume 351, pages 224 thru 226, of the
Guadalupe County Deed Records;
THENCE with the existing City limits line N 60° 06' E 585.00 feet to a point;
THENCE with the existing City limits line, N 290 54' W 655 feet to a point;
THENCE with the existing City limits line, N 60° 06' S 571.30 feet to a point;
THENCE S 300 15' E approximately 350 feet being the centerline of the Cibolo
Creek;
THENCE in a southerly direction with the meanderings of the Cibolo Creek 1,800
feet more or less to a point of intersection of the Cibolo Creek and the
existing City limits of the City of Schertz;
THENCE N 300 W approximately 850 feet along existing City limits to the point
of beginning and containing 19.9 acres more or less.

CITY OF SCHERTZ ~
On this, the 5th day of August, 1975, at 7:00 o'clock P.M., the City
Council of the City of Schertz, Texas, convened at a regular meeting at
the regular meeting place in the Municipal Building in the City of Schertz,
Texas, pursuant to due call and notice to all of the members of said City
Council, which meeting was at all times open to the public, and at which
meeting the following members were present, to-wit:
ROBERT C. BUEKER MAYOR
NELL G. FUNK ALDERWOMAN
DONALD J. SEEBA ALDERMAN
WALTER F. SCHNEIDER ALDERMAN
ED L. SHARPE ALDERMAN
GAIL HYATT ALDERWOMAN
AND
JUNE G. KRAUSE CITY SECRETARY
DENNY L. ARNOLD CITY MANAGER
There being a quorum present, the meeting was called to order by the
Mayor, and, among other proceedings had were the following:
The Mayor introduced the hereinafter set forth ordinance, which has
been read and considered at the last regular meeting of the City Council
on the 15th day of July, 1975. It was determined that the City Secretary
had caused a short synopsis of said proposed ordinance to be published
in the official City newspaper after its consideration at the last regular
meeting of the City Council and prior to this meeting.
.Whereupon said ordinance was discussed and further considerd by the
Council.
Thereupon it was moved by Councilmember~~~~„~~
and seconded by Councilmember ~ that said
ordinance be finally passed and adopted.- The Mayor put the motion to a
vote of the members of the City Council and the ordinance was finally
passed and adopted by the following vote:
AYES: Mrs. Funk, Mr. Seeba, Mr. Schneider, Mr. Sharpe and Mrs. Hyatt.
NAYS: None
