AN ORDINANCE BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS PROVIDING THAT THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ,
TEXAS BE AMENDED BY REVISING CHAPTER 50,
SECTION 50.162 (a) (e), FALSE ALARM NOTIFICATION;
AND PROVIDING SEVERABILITY, DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS:
SECTION I
THAT, Section 50-162 (a) (e) of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Schertz, Texas be
amended to omit the following from:
"Section 50-162-(a) (e), False alarm notification
(a) Except as otherwise provided, each false alarm notification omitted from any
alarm system, after the third false alarm response within any 12-month period, shall
constitute a violation of this article.
(e) Except as otherwise provided in subsections (a)--(d) above, the holder of an alarm
permit shall pay a service fee according to the schedule of fees, section 50-165, for
each false alarm notification emitted from each alarm system that is in excess of three
false alarms within any 12-month period.
SECTION II
THAT, this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its final passage and
it is so ordained.
SECTION III
THAT, all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby
repealed.

August, 2009.
