08-23-1984 The Schertz Planning and Zoning Commission convened in a special session on
Thursday, August 23, 1984 in the Municipal Complex Conference Room, 1400
Live Oak Road. Members present were as follows:

#1 CALL TO ORDER '
Chairman Linebarger called the meeting to order at 6:00 P.P1.
#2 CONSIDER AND TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTION: Zoning Change #60
The Commission was provided a copy of a letter and attachment from Mr. Parker's
attorney in reference to the access easement to the property. Earl Hartzog
advised the Commission the access easement, according to the City Attorney, is
a requirement by law.
There .was a short discussion about the use of the easement in the event of high
water and the need for the 60' right-of-way with a 44' pavement.
Quintin G. Stansell, an attorney representing one of the property owners along
the access easement, asked to speak. Chairman Linebarger advised him of the
rules on rezoning and would let him speak.
_ Merwin 6Jillman made a motion to recommend approval of the rezoning to Mobile
Home District, provided the road from FM 78 to the adjoining property had a 60'
right-of-way and 44' pavement. Ray Stanhope seconded the motion and the vote
was as follows:
Ayes: Linebarger, Yarling, Stanhope, Willman, Andrews and Hardin
Nays: Peek
Motion passed.
#3 GENERAL DISCUSSION
Earl Hartzog advised the Commission the review of the Subdivision Ordinance
would be on the. next agenda.'
The Commission was advised about the open house for Sycamore Creek Apartments
on August 29, 1984 from 5 to 8. Need to RSVP at 658-6209.
There was a discussion on the TV satellite .dish and Commission members were
asked to check for the zoning report on this item again.

Chairman Linebarger adjourned the meeting at 6:23 P.M.
