The Schertz Planning and Zoning Commission convened in a special emergency
session on Thursday. August 16, 1984 in the Municipal Complex Conference
Room, 1400 Live Oak Road. Members present were as follows:

Chairman Linebarger called the meeting to order at 6:02 P.M.
#2 CONSIDER AND TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTION: Rezoning Request - Homecraft-Bligh
Property F1'7 78 - 40 acres
John Ragsdale, representing Homecraft Land Development, presented a request
to rezone.approximatel~y 40 acres of land located along FM 78. The plan is
to put Modular Homes on 50' x 100' lots and to eliminate the general business
along FM 78.
There was a lengthy discussion about types of modular homes, building setbacks,
changing the lot size next to Lone Oak Subdivision and drainage. Ray Stanhope
made a motion recommending the rezoning request be scheduled fora public
hearing. Tom Yarling seconded the motion and the vote was unanimous in favor.
#3 GENERAL DISCUSSION
Earl Hartzog advised the Commission was scheduled for Thursday, August 23, 1984
to consider Zoning Change #60.
Earl Hartzog recommended the Commission consider the Homecraft rezoning request
on stubbing the street out to the other side of-Cibolo Creek.
It was agreed to schedule the Clyde Dishong, 1116 Antler Drive, request for a
public hearing as a special use permit. An ordinance needs to be established
on satellite TV reception dishes and restrict the size and location. Merwin
Willman asked the other members to look through their files and locate the
Zoning Report that covered these satellites.
