06-15-1977 PUBLIC HEARING The Planning and Zoning Commission jointly held a Public Hearing with the Schertz City Council at 7:00 P.M. at the Large Pavilion on Oak Street, with the following Planning & Zoning Members Present: Johnnie Wise - Chairman MEMBERS ABSENT: Chuck Sharpe Betty Wise = Secretary Ray Stanhope John Linebarger Adolph Aguilar Chairman Wise called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M. and recessed the meet- ing at 7:05 P.M. June 15, 1977. June 14, 1977 City Council action which denied the annexation request on which the rezoning was based. The Joint Meeting of the Planning & Zoning and the Schertz City Council was reconvened at 7:10 P.M. in the Council Chambers, 401 Oak Street. 2. Mr. Rod Corvo representing Mr. John Schaefer presented the Rezoning request to the Planning and Zoning Commission. Mr. Schaefer is requesting the rezoning of Lot 5, Block 5; and Lot 23, Block 7, Village I on Live Oak Road from R-2 Single family residence district to G.B. General business. Mr. Corvo stated that there is nothing definite planned for this area at this time. Mr. Linebarger stated that Mr. Schaefer's request meets the rezoning criteria as set forth in our Zoning Ordinance. Mr. Linebarger then made a motion to schedule a Public Zoning Hearing for the purpose of rezoning Lot 5, Block 5, and Lot 23 Block 7, Village I. Mrs. Wise seconded this motion. A11 members were in favor. 3. The Public Zoning Hearing will be scheduled for July 13, 1977. The Joint meeting adjourned at 7:30 P.M. 4. The Regular Meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission was brought to order by Chairman Wise at 7:35 P.M.. Mr. Aguilar made a motion the previous minutes be approved; Mrs Wise seconded and they were accepted. 5. Mr. Garza stated Lost Meadows has not submitted the final plat for Unit 2 to the City for signature. This item will be rescheduled for the next P&Z meeting. 6. U.S. Homes preliminary Plat review: Northcliffe Country Club Estates ,Sec. II Porthcliffe, Community Section III A Northcliffe, Country Club Plat Mr. Outwin, U.S. Homes, presented the above plats. After their review, it was established that they meet all subdivision requirements. Mr. Linebarger made the motion they be accepted. Mr. Aguilar seconded the motion which was unanimously accpted. There will be a regular meeting of the P&Z Commission June 22, 1977 7. Meeting adjourned at 8:00 P.M. Betty Wise, Secretary
