~2 CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order by Chairman
~dise at '7:30 P.~~.
~3 APPROVAL OF i+~INUTES: The minutes of the preceding meeting
were read and approved.
~4 REVIE~d OF' HUD 1t TURNKEY" ELDERLY HOUSING PROJECT
A review of HUD "Turnkey" project for the elderly eras held.
i~1r. Bullock, dir. Trent and I~Fr. Bro~,m of the Schertz Housing
Authority were present to answer the questions of the
Commission, concerning the project.
~.~r. Jackson, of Lee, Jackson and Turner eras present and
submitted his blueprints of the project.
Platting of the "Turnkey" project has cleared City Staff.
All drainage problems have been discussed and ok'd by
iwfr. Gaddis.
It was also pointed out that the 26 units already in use are
occupied by elderly parents of local and/or military families
and that the average monthly rent realized by the housing
authority amounted to X50.00 per family.
It was pointed out to dir. Bullock that no reeomr~endations,
concerning the "Turnkey" project, would be made to the City
Council by the Planning & honing Commission until the Commission
had tinge to look over the blueprints submitted by ~Ir. Jackson.
Therefore, a special ~-~eeting of the Planning & Zoning mill be
held on 3 September 1876 at 7:30 at the Council Chambers, at
which time recommendations from the Commission will be forth
coming.
GENERAL DISCUSSION:
A citizen of Schertz complained to the Commission about horses
and cows on FNi 78, inside city limits. Is this a violation of
the City Animal Control Ordinance`?
