Dr. Robert McMillian for Lost Meadows Subdivision Councilman Dick Howe #2 CALL TO ORDER: The Meeting was called to order by Chairman Wise at 7:30 P.M. #3 READING OF MINUTES: The Planning & Zoning Commission minutes of the meeting of April 14, 1976 were read and approved. #4 PC-4 ARCEMONT CURB CUT REQUEST: Mr. Arcemont's curb cut request at 1000 Williamsburg Drive was reviewed and discussed. Mr. Arcemont was present and answered pertinent questions on his reasons why he wishes a curb cut at 1000 Williamsburg. It was noted .that Mr. Arcemont wishes to build an open car port which would enable him to park his vehicles within his property and off the street. This would alleviate to some degree the problem of his vehicle being damaged by vandals. Mr. Sawyer made a motion that the P&Z recommend to the City Council that they grant Mr. Arcemont a curb cut request at 1000 Williarsburg Drive. Mr. Stanhope seconded the motion and all members were in agreement. #5 PC-5 LONE OAK SUBDIVISION UP~IT #3 PRELIMINARY PLAT REVIEW. Mr. Walter Schertz .and. a representative from the Armondo Aranda Surveying firm presented the Subdivision Plat to the P&Z Commission. This is the future site of a Pizza Hut. The City staff made several recommendations concerning the site layout. These recommendations are as follows: (1) Cutting through the median on Cloverleaf Drive. The cut would be angled to the left, or (2) Erecting right turn only and a one-way sign on Cloverleaf Drive and allowing a U turn from the right lane of Cloverleaf Drive to the left lane. This would be at the front of the Lone Oak sign near FM 78. (3) Placing a stop sign at the exit of the Pizza Hut Parking Lot. (4) increasing the entrance driveway radius from 15 feet to 25 feet. (5) and changing the radius of the island located at the exit side of the parking lot nearest the building, to the opposite direction. This would discourage left turns into Cloverleaf Drive.. Mr. Sawyer made a motion that the preliminary plat of Lone Oak Subdivi- sion, Unit #3 be accepted with the above recommendations noted.- This motion was seconded by Mr. Aguilar, and all members were in agreement. #5 PC-6 LOST MEADOWS SUBDIVISION, UNIT #2: Doctor Robert McMillian presented to the P&Z Commission a preliminary plat of Lost Meadows Subdivision, Unit #2. It was noted that this plat was not in accordance with the City's sub- -division Ordinance. Doctor McMillian assured the P&Z Commission that he would comply on the proper road design with either the City or County specifications. Mr. Stanhope made a motion that City Staff turn this plat over to the City Engineer for review and comment. This motion was seconded by Mr. Aguilar, and all members were in agreement. #6 ADJOURNMENT: On a motion duly made and seconded, the meeting adjourned at 9:00 P.M.
