David Allen~ndicated he would like some input from the citizens as to what they would like to have. Merwin Willman reminded him the City comes first, but whatever we do we still have to have a public hearing. James Harden remarked we will have to have a public hearing to get the people in. Mr. Harden asked when the annexation would be finalized. Strive Simonson replied July 1, 1986 and also said, in response to a question from Chairman Yarling, we do not have time now for all the procedures required to re- zone at the same time as annexation. ...David Allen asked if businesses are allowed in PD and Steve Simonson replied they need a Specific Use Permit. Donald Wilson felt we needed to make some kind of specific statement of recommenda- tion~and Merwin Willman said we need to work up a package and take a look at it first before making definite recommendati-ons. Steve Simonson asked what about saying something like immediately following annexa- tion, the Planning and Zoning Commission will automatically begin procedures to consider the appropriate zoning and setback for IH l0 and other areas of the annexa- tion and begin adoption of an overlay for the AICUZ.
