Mr. Grumpy has volunteered to cater an event for 150/200 people for

cocktail party as a fundraiser.
We will get half of the proceeds from the beer booth at the Fourth of July
Jubilee. We will need volunteers for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There

on specific items being requested. May need to ask them to come to the next Board
meeting to discuss and bring their specific requests.
There was a discussion on whether or not the library should be paying for any
Clubs' speakers. What precedent would that set for other clubs? The Library
would consider purchasing map stands and books relating to Genealogy but they
would be Library property that would be available to the public as well. Gail and
Priscilla from the Genealogy Club will be asked to attend the next Board meeting to
present information for specific items wanted.
6. Update on Request for Funds for Library Landscaping.
After it was discussed at the last Board meeting, the City landscaped. No more will
be done at this time.
7. Request for Additional Bookstore furnishings and Supplies -discussion and
possible action on purchasing an additional book shelf and a fan.
Ruth Tienor made a request for a small 12 inch wide set of shelves and a fan for the
bookstore. 'The bookshelves would be the same height as the rest of the shelves.
Also, the need for a fan was discussed due to the air conditioning not working in
that part of the library. There is a 42 inch tower fan at Wa1 Mart for $54.00.
Ruth Tienor made a motion to buy the Lasko fan from Wal Mart for $54.00 and the
shelving for $255.00 plus shipping. Carol Cyr seconded. Motion passed.
8. 4th of July Float -discussion on library float theme for 4th of July parade.
