The Transportation Sa#'ety Advisory Commission (TSAC) convened on June 3, 201.0 at 5:30
pm in the Council Chamber Conference Room, Building # 4, 1400 Schertz Parkway,
Schertz, Texas 75154.

® Larry Miller, 625 Planters Pass (Kramer Farm Subdivision) -Concerns
about location of speed limit signs in subdivision. Sign at beginning of
subdivision could sign be moved down to stop sign easier to noticed?
Sign stating that speed limit through subdivision is 20 MPH.
® Robert McMahon, 6100 Covers Cove (Fairways at Scenic Hills
Subdivision) -Concerns with speeding on Covers Cove, police have been
present, traffzc machine has placed, still requesting machine on regular
bases, requested speed humps placed on street.
® Robert Brockman, 1000 Elbel Road, #41.1 -School zone traf#ic light
corner of Aero and Schertz Pkwy should it be flashing all the time or just
during the posted hours?

o Diana Taylor, 5505 Columbia -Concerned about the speeding an
Columbia and Cavern Cove. There are many children in the area and
concerned about their safety. Talking to Public Work staff and was
almost hit by an coming traffic. Would like this issue looked into. ~
1. Minutes - Consideration and/or action regarding the approval of the
minutes of June 3, 2010. Motion to accept June 3, 2010 minutes by:
Doreen Bowers second by Michael Goos -All Ayes- Motion passed.
2. Morning Drive -Traffic status (PWs/Engineering) - 85% traf#"ic over 33 to
34 MPH this qualifies for speed humps. Recommend that this item be
forward onto City Council action. Motion made by Doreen Bowers and
second by Deborah Stone. -Ail Ayes- Motion carried
3. Covers Cave -Traffic status (PWs/Engineering) - S5% traffic 20 to 24 MPH
this does not qualify for speed humps. Traffic machine rotates from
different areas where there are problems Covers Cove can be monitored.

4. Kramer Farm Streets Traffic status, lack of speed limit signs,
(PWS/Engineering) 85% traffic 23 to 24 MPH. Not all signs have been
posted in the subdivision this is usually done when the sidewalks have
been completed. Carry item over to July meeting.
5. City Engineer Report - ~
® Rural Road (Ware Seguin Rd, Greytown, and Boenig) paving will start
next week and should be completed a week to 10 days.
® Northcliffe phase 2 under design.
® Working on educating the citizens on speed limits in the city by articles
in the Schertz Tales, meeting with HOAs, many means possible.
° Designing subdivision entry signs that may say something like "All
Residential speed limit 20 MPH"
6. Items placed on Next Agenda -Consideration and or action on questions
and passible items placed on the next agenda.
® Planter Pass -Signs
° TSAC By-Laws -review and discuss.
7. Commission Reports Members of the commission will report on the
following: Nothing to report.
S. July 1, 2010 TSAC meeting rescheduled to July ~8, 2010 at 5:30 pm.
9. Adjournment: Motion made by Doreen Bowers and second by Larry
Franklin. All Ayes. Meeting adjourned at 6:1.5 pm.
