AN ORDI NANCE
ESTABLISHING THE FIRE LIMITS FOR THE CITY OF
SCHERTZ, TEXAS, ACCORDING TO THE SOUTHERN
STANDARD BUILDING CODE, AS AMENDED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS, that:
SECTION I Fire Limits: The following shall be and are hereby declared to
be the fire limits of the City of Schertz, Texas.
A. Fire District #l
From the point where the west line of Lindberg Avenue intersects the
south line of Exchange Avenue for a point of beginning;
THENCE, in a westerly direction with the south line of Exchange Avenue
and extension thereof to a point of intersection with the west line of
tha t tract of 1 and des i gnated as Lot one conveyed to Ado I ph Schertz by
deed recorded in Vol. 32, page 133, of the deed of records of Guadalupe
County, Texas;
THENCE, in a southerly direction with the west line of said Schertz tract
to a point of intersection with the north line of Main Street;
THENCE, in a southerly direction to a point where the south line of East
Aviation intersects the south line of Main Street;
THENCE, in a westerly direction following the south line of East Aviation
to a point where that line intersects the city limits of the City of
Schertz, Texas;
THENCE, in a Southerly direction following the city limits line to a point
280 feet south of the south line of F.M. Highway 78;
THENCE, in a easterly direction following a line parrallel to the south
line of F.M. Highway 78 to a point where that line intersects the western
property line of that tract of land containing 4.887 acres belonging to
one Odo Ri ede I ;
THENCE, in a southerly direction following that line of said Riedel prop-
erty to a point where that property line turns to an easterly direction;
THENCE, in an easterly direction following the south line of said Riedel
property to a point where that line turns in a northerly direction;
THENCE, in a northerly direction to a point where that said Riedel property
line turns in an easterly direction;
THENCE, in an easterly direction to a point where the said Riedel property
line turns to a northerly direction;
THENCE, in a northerly direction for a distance of 165 feet;
THENCE, in an easterly direction following a line of projection to a point
where the north line and the east line of lot 6, block 1 of Rio Vista Sub-
division intersect;
THENCE, in an easterly direction following a line of projection to a point
where the north line and the east line of lot 12, block I of Lone Oak
Subdivision intersects;
THENCE, in an easterly direction following the previous line of
projection to a point where an extension of that line intersects the
city limits line of the City of Schertz, Texas;
THENCE, in a northerly direction following the city limits line to a
point where it turns in a westerly direction;
THENCE, in a westerly direction following the city limit line to a point
where that line turns in a northerly direction;
THENCE, in a northerly direction following the city limit line to a
point where it intersects the northern line of F.M. Highway 78;
THENCE, in a westerly direction following the north line of F.M. Highway
78 to a point 584 feet east of a pOint where an extension of that line
would intersect the east line of Live Oak Road;
THENCE, in a northerly direction following a line of projection to a
point where north line and west line of lot 6, block I, Village III Sub-
division intersect;
THENCE, in an easterly direction following the north line of lot 6,
block I, Village III Subdivision to a point where it intersects the
west line of Westchester Drive;
THENCE, in a northerly direction following an extension of the west line
of Westchester Drive to a point where it would intersect the south line
of Elbel Road;
THENCE, in a westerly direction following the south line of Elbel Road
to a point where it intersects the east line of Live Oak Road;
THENCE, in a Westerly direction following the south line of Aero Avenue
to a point where it intersects the west line of lot 13, block 2, Village
I Subdivision;
THENCE, in a southerly direction following the west line of lot 13, block
2, Village I Subdivision to a point where an extension of that line would
intersect the south line of Exchange Avenue;
THENCE, in a westerly direction following the south line of Exchange Avenue
to the point of BEGINNING.
B. Fire District #2
BEGINNING at a point where the south line of Pecan Drive intersects the
west line of Oak Street in Schertz, Texas;
THENCE, in a westerly direction following the south line of Pecan Drive
to a point where that line intersects the east line of F.M. Highway 1518;
THENCE, in a southerly direction following the east line of F.M. Highway
1518 to a point where it intersects the north line of the 30 foot gas
easement;
THENCE, in an easterly direction following the north line of the 30 foot
gas line easement to a point where it intersects the west line of Oak
Street;
THENCE, in a northerly direction following the west line of Oak Street
to the point of BEGINNING.
