AN ORDINANCE
BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ,
TEXAS, AMENDING THE MOBILE HOME ORDINANCE
NO. 87-S-B, SECTION XI, MOBILE HOME PARKS,
PARAGRAPH B.2.g. DESIGN AND LOCATION OF
STORAGE FACILITIES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS:
THAT, Mobile Home Ordinance 87-S-8 of the City of
Schertz, Texas is hereby amended in the following manner:
Amend Sec. XI, Para. B.2.g. as follows:
SECTION XI MOBILE HOME PARKS
Add as Subparagraph g.(l)
When the Building Inspector finds that extraordinary hardship may
resul t from strict compliance with the placement of a utility
building as prescribed in this paragraph, the Building Inspector
may vary the regulations so that substantial justice may be done
and the public interest secured, provided that such variance will
not have the effect of nullifying any modifications. In granting
variances and modifications, the Building Inspector may require
such conditions as will, in his judgment, secure substantially
the objective of the standards or requirements so varied or
modified. In the event the Building Inspector should disapprove
a request for variance, the applicant for the variance may
request that the Planning and Zoning Commission make a final
determination on the request for the variance.

SUBJECT: AMENDMENT TO MOBILE HOME ORDINANCE
To allow the Inspection Department the "latitude they need for
better enforcement of the Mobile Home Ordinance regarding the
design and location of storage facilities, the attached amendment
to the Mobile Home Ordinance is unmanimously recommended for
approval by the Planning and Zoning Commission.
