AN ORDINANCE
BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS,
AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE (ORDINANCE NO. 79-S-l5)
OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS; CHANGING THE CLASSIFI-
CATION OF A PORTION OF TERRITORY BELONGING TO MR. HARRY
G. BLIGH FROM PRE-DEVELOPMENT (PO) TO GENERAL BUSINESS
(GB) AND REFLECTING SAID CHANGE ON CERTAIN ZONING MAPS
IN ACCORDANCE WITH ARTICLE II AND III OF SAID ZONING
ORD I NANCE.
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission has proposed and
recommended this rezoning to the City Council; and
WHEREAS. the procedure outlined in Article XIX, Sections 2 and
4 have been complied with; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS:
THAT the ZOning Ordinance of the City of Schertz, Texas,
(Ordinance No. 79-S-l5) is hereby amended in the following manner:
A. The classification of a portion of territory out of 34.032
acres out of the G. Malpaz Survey as presently owned by
Mr. Harry G. Bligh is changed from pre-development (PO)
to General Business (GB). That territory will consist
of two hundred (200) feet in depth from the south right-
of-way of FM 78 and extend from the northwest corner
to the northeast corner, all of which is on the south
side of FM 78, out of the 34.032 acres presently owned
by Mr. Harry G. Bligh.
The most easterly portion of that territory will also be
two hundred (200) feet in depth and border along Dietz
Creek, which is a corporate boundary line of the City
of Schertz.
B. The Zoning District Maps, described and referenced in
Article II, Sections 3.1 and 3.2 of the City of Schertz
Zoning Ordinance No. 79-S-15, shall be changed to
reflect the above amendment."

On this, the
1 day of December, 1981 ,at 7:00 o'clock P.M., the
City Council of the City of Schertz, Texas, convened at a regular meeting at the
regular meeting place in the Municipal Building in the City of Schertz, Texas,
pursuant to due call ~nd notice to all of the members of said City Council,
which meeting was at all times open to the public, and at which meeting the
following members were present, to-wit:

There being a quorum present, the meeting was called to order by the
Mayor, and, among other proceedings had were the following:
The Mayor introduced the hereinafter set forth ordinance, which has
been read and considered at the last regular meeting of the City Council on the
17 day of November, 1981. It was determined that the City Secretary had
caused a short synopsis of said proposed ordinance to be published in the
official City newspaper after its consideration at the last regular meeting of
the City Council and prior to this meeting.
Whereupon said ordinance was discussed and further considered by the
Council.
Thereupon it was moved by Councilmember Sawyer
and seconded by Councilmember Lawl er that said ,ordinance
be finally passed ana adopted. lhe Mayor put the motion to a vote of the
members of the City Council and the ordinance was finally passed and adopted by
the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Howe, Taylor, Duffield, Sawyer and Lawler
