AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE (ORDINANCE NO.
74-S-48) OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS; CHANGING
THE CLASSIFICATION OF A TWO ACRE TRACT OF LAND,
A THREE ACRE TRACT OF LAND AND A FIVE ACRE TRACT
OF LAND FROM R-2 TO O.P. DESIGNATION, AND REFLECT-
ING SAID CHANGE ON CERTAIN ZONING DISTRICT MAPS,
IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 9 AND SECTION 12 OF
THE ZONING ORDINANCE
WHEREAS, the City of Schertz, Texas and the Good Shepherd
Catholic Church being property owners, have requested a change in the zon-
ing of their property, described below, in accordance with Section 12.2 of
the Zoning Ordinance, and
WHEREAS, the procedures outlined in Article III, Section 12,
Amendments, have been followed, and
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission has voted favorably
to recommend that the zoning change be approved and has reported same to the
City Secretary, NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS, that:
The Zoning Ordinance of the City of Schertz, Texas, Ordinance No. 74-S-48 is
hereby amended in the following manner:
A. Field notes for 2.00 acres of land out of a 10.00 acre
tract described in vol. 408, page 13, of the deed records
of Guadalupe County, Texas, and being out of the G. Malpat
Survey No. 67, Abstract 221, in Schertz, Texas.
BEGINNING at the point of intersection of the centerline
of the Southern Pacific Railroad right of way and the east
right of way line of Live Oak Road in Schertz, Texas;
THENCE with the east right of way line of Live Oak Road
N 30 degrees DO' 00" W 3,948 feet to an iron pin for the
point of beginning and the south corner of the herein
described 2.00 acre tract;
THENCE continuing with the east line of Live Oak Road N 30
degrees DO' 00" W 130.00 feet to an iron pin for the west
corner of the herein described tract;
THENCE N 60 degrees 001 00" E (with the north line of said
10.0 acre tract) 650.16 feet to an iron pin for the north
corner of the herein described tract; said corner also
being the north corner of the said 10.0 acre tract;
THENCE S 30 degrees DO' 00" E with the east line of said
10.0 acre tract 130.0 feet to an iron pin for the east
corner of the herein described tract;
THENCE S 60 degrees DO' 00" W 650.16 feet to the point of
beginning and containing 2.00 acres more or less.
B. Field notes for a 3.00 acre tract of land out of a 10.00 acre
tract described in volune 408, page 13, of the deed records
of Guadalupe County, Texas, and being out of the G. Malpaz
Survey No. 67, Abstract 221, in Schertz, Texas:

BEGINNING at the point of intersection of the centerline
of the Southern Pacific Railroad right of way and the east
right of way line of Live Oak Road in Schertz, Texas;
THENCE with the east right of way line of Live Oak Road
N 30 degrees 001 00" W 3,753 feet to an iron pin for the
point of beginning of the herein described 3.00 acre tract;
THENCE continuing with the east line of Live Oak Road N
30 degrees 001 00" E 195.00 feet to an iron pin for the
northwest corner of the herein described tract;
THENCE N 60 degrees 001 00" E 650.16 feet to an iron pin
for the northeast corner of the herein described tract;
THENCE S 30 degrees 001 00" E 195.00 feet to an iron pin
for the southeast corner of the herein described tract;
THENCE S 60 degrees 001 00" W 650.16 feet to the point of
beginning and containing 3.00 acres more or less.
C. Field notes for 5.00 acres of land out of a 10.0 acre tract
described in Volume 201, page 480 of the deed records of
Guadalupe County, Texas, and being out of the G. Malpaz
Survey No. 67, Abstract 221, in Schertz, Texas.
BEGINNING at an iron pin set in the easterly right of way
line of Live Oak Road for the southwest corner of this
tract of land from which the intersection of the center-
line of the Southern Pacific Railroad 100 feet right of way
with the easterly right of way line of Live Oak Road bears
S 30 degrees 001 E, a distance of 3428 feet and also from
which the intersection of the north right of way line of
F.M. 78 and the northeast right of way line of Live Oak
Road bears S 30 degrees DOlE, a distance of 3478 feet;
the point of beginning is also the northwest corner of the
Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City Independent School District
49.379 acre tract:
THENCE N 30 degrees 001 W, a distance of325.0 feet to an iron
pin set in the easterly right of way line of Live Oak Road
for the northwest corner of this tract of land,
THENCE N 60 degrees 001 E, a distance of 650.16 feet to an
iron pin set for the northeast corner of this tract of land;
THENCE S 30 degrees 001 E, a distance of 325.00 feet to an
iron pin set for the southeast corner of this tract of land;
THENCE S 60 degrees DO' W, a distance of 650.16 feet to an iron
pin set for the southwest corner of this tract of land
(distance of 650.16 feet is along the northerly right of way
line of the Schertz- Cibolo-Universal City Independent School
District tract of land) and also being the point of beginning
and containing five acres of land.
D. The zoning district maps, described and referenced in Section
9.2.2 and 9.2.3, shall be changed to indicate this amendment.
