REINVESTMENT ZONE NUMBER TWO, CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS
REGULAR MEETING
November 2, 2010
A regular meeting was held by the Reinvestment Zone Number Two, City of Schertz,
Texas (TIRZ) on November 2, 2010 at 5:00 p.m., in the Council Chamber Conference Room,
1400 Schertz Parkway. Building #4, Schertz, Texas. The following members and staff were
present:

The meeting was called to order by Michael Cazpenter at 5:01 p.m.
1. Election of Officers.
On a motion by John Bierschwale, seconded by Gary Inmon, the following persons were
unanimously elected to the following offices of the TIl2Z for a term ending
September 30, 2011:
Chair -Michael Cazpenter
Vice Chair-Bob Cantu
Secretary/Treasurer -Steve White
Assistant Secretary/Treasurer -George Antuna
2. Approval of minutes from September 14, 2010.
Steve White made a motion to approve the minutes [as corrected to include Steve
White as being at the September 14, 2010 meeting]. The motion was seconded by John
Bierschwale. The motion carried. The vote was unanimous.
3. Briefing on status of Sedona Project.
[Larry Aiken and Chris Price] reported 81 homes final and/or occupied; 7 homes under
construction; and 0 homes pending plan review. Sewer service has been hooked up and
City owns permit to treatment plant. 2-3 builders are cun~ently negotiating with Sedona.
Advertisement billboards to be installed at FM 1518 and IH 10, South Gate of Randolph
Air Force Base, Converse, Corbett Jr. High School and FM 1518, and a location along
FM 78. Sedona is doing well regardless of the current financial environment. There is a
zoning mix in Sedona and interest is picking up.

4. Report on tax increment collections and payments received.
The Director of Finance for the City of Schertz reports that the TIRZ has collected the
following amounts:

In addition, $235,548 of City of Schertz impact fees relating to the TIRZ have been
collected, but such amounts are not available to pay reimbursement requests.
5. Reimbursement requests.
The collected Tax Increment Payments from the City, the County, and SARA, totaling
$15,838.06, should be applied on a prorata basis (.5249 to Schertz and .4751 to Bexar
County) to the outstanding approved reimbursement request as follows:
Schertz $8,313.39
Bexar County 7 524.67
Total $15,838.06
John Bierschwale made a motion to authorize payment to Schertz in the amount of
$8,313.39 and to Bexar County in the amount of $7,524.67. Second by Bob Cantu. Vote
unanimous. Motion carried.
