CALL TO ORDER: Sonia Samora called the meeting to order at 7:01 p.m...
REGULAR AGENDA:
1. Minutes -- Consideration ar+d/or action regarding the approva! of the minutes of October i, 2U12.
Corrections were proposed to the minutes. Ruth Tienor moved Io accept the October minutes as
corrected. Pattie Lovelady seconded. October 1, 2012 minutes approved.
2. Treasurer's Report -Consideration and/or action regarding the approval of the September 2012
Treasurer's Report.
Cash account ending balance September 30, 2012 was $24.619.28.
Investment account ending balance September 30, 2012 was $30,761.14.
Laura Wilson stated the October book store receipts were $1,752.76 and the book sale receipts
were $371.79 for a total of $2,124.01.
Pattie Lovelady moved to accept the Treasurer's Reports. Sandy Keiser seconded. September
2012 Treasurers Report was approved.
3. Librarian's Report - librarians will report on the following items:

FY12 circulation was down slightly and headcount up slightly. FY12 program attendance
increased by 16°~6.
The Library will be closed November i id` and 12'"for Veteran's Day, November 22nd and 23"
for Thanksgiving, December 24"' and 25'"for Christmas, and December 315` and January 15'
for New Years. _ '
• Gazebo for the courtyard will be a tivire arbor that greenery wilt grow over which will. be nice
but not as a memorial. We wiA discuss sculptures for the Hal Baldwin memorial al next
meeting,
• Library Fundraising: t•lolfday wreath/sprays and centerpiece fundraiser was well rece~ued.
Approximate profit .vas $1,500 with less than 4 weeks far sales.
4. t3ookstore Committee Report Commit'iee will report' on the lo!lowing items:
• The book sio-e will be closed December 24"'through January 1'' and re-open on January 2"'.
• BIG Ihanks to those Ihat helped with the October book sale. There were not as many books
for the October sale but it was successful.
• Three boxes of books were consigned and sold resulting in -$222 profit. Check hasn't been
received but Laura Wilsan wilt report on ii when received.
• Boak store received a donation of a box of cookbooks which wits be distributed to patrons as
holiday t~onus with December safes until supply depleted.

5. Landscaping - An a-mail was sent la Guadalupe Master Gardeners soliciting interest to help
maintain library landscaping. We need to define the Clly's responsibiltties.and see about a
maintenance contract for items not included in City's scope.
6. Library Board Applications and Appointments ~ Boger Sturdy will not re-new as a board rnember_
City Council is responsible for linafizing bu! it's expected that Shonale Burke will move to
permanent boarCf member, Patti Dilworth wdl move to I4' alternate and a new appointee ~,vfll fill the
open position tar 2°`' alternate:

• Correspondence received -none.
• Announcements by Library Board members -none were reported.
• Gall for items to be included on next agenda -landscaping, board positions. Holiday volunteer
party
