CITY OF SCHERTZ
On this, the 15th day of June, 1976, at 7:00 o'clock P.M., the
City Council of the City of Schertz, Texas, convened at a regular meeting
at the regular meeting place in the Municipal Building in the City of
Schertz, Texas, pursuant to due call and notice to all of the members of said
City Council, which meeting was at all times open to the public, and at which
meeting the following members were present, to-wit:

There being a quorum present, the meeting was called to order by
the Mayor, and among other preceedings had were the following:
The Mayor introduced the hereinafter set forth ordinance, which has
been read and considered at the last regular meeting of the City Council on
the 1st day of June, 1976. It was determined that the City Secretary had
caused a short synopsis of said proposed ordinance to be published in the
official City newspaper after its consideration at the last regular meeting
of the City Council and prior to this meeting.
Whereupon said ordinance was discussed and further considered by the
Council .
Thereupon, it was moved

that said ordinance be finally passed and adopted. The Mayor put the motion
to a vote of the members of the City Council and the ordinance was finally
passed and adopted by the following vote:

AN ORDINANCE
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE EXECUTION
OF A DEED
WHEREAS, Willie Krause, Jr. and wife, June G. Krause, are the
owners of Lot 11 out of a subdivision of a two and one-half acre tract
of land in the City of Schertz, Guadalupe County, Texas, as shown by a
map of record in Volume 196, page 258 of the Deed Records of Guadalupe
County, Texas, and of Lot 5 and the northeast 1/2 of Lot 6, Pfeil Addi-
tion to the City of Schertz, Guadalupe County, Texas; and
WHEREAS, said Willie Krause, Jr. and wife, June G. Krause,
have agreed to donate a strip of land across the northeast side of Lot
5, Pfeil Addition to the City of Schertz, Guadalupe County, Texas, for
the purpose of widening Dowman Street, abutting said property; and
WHEREAS, heretofore on or about the 5th day of April, 1950,
Ewald Pfeil, a former owner of Lot 11 out of a subdivision of a two and
one-half acre tract of land in the City of Schertz, Guadalupe County, Texas,
as shown by map of record in Volume 196, page 258 of the Deed Records of
Guadalupe County, Texas, by warranty deed conveyed a 51 strip of land
along the northeast part of said lot 11 to Guadalupe County, Texas, to be
used for street right-of-way purposes along a then existing county road
now known as Dowman Street; and
WHEREAS, the City of Schertz, Texas, upon its incorporation
succeeded to the rights of Guadalupe County in and to said 51 strip of
land theretofore conveyed by Ewald Pfeil; and
WHEREAS, in consideration of the conveyance of said 3-1/21
strip out of Lot 5, the City of Schertz has agreed to convey to said Willie
Krause, Jr. and wife, June G. Krause, a strip of land being the most south-
erly 1-1/2' strip out of the 5' strip heretofore conveyed by said Ewald
Pfeil in order that the street right-of-way along Dowman Street will be
of equal width; NOW, THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS:
That the Mayor and City Secretary of the City of Schertz,
Texas, are hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of said
City a special warranty deed conveying to Willie Krause, Jr. and wife,
June G. Krause, a strip of land being the most southerly 1-1/21 strip
out of the 51 strip of land heretofore conveyed by Ewald Pfeil to
Guadalupe County by deed recorded in Volume 243, page 512, Guadalupe
County Deed Records, to which interest the City of Schertz has succeeded.
