AN ORDINANCE
BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ,
TEXAS PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES
OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS BE AMENDED BY
REVISING SECTION 18-75, MAXIMUM LIMITS IN
SCHOOL ZONES AND SECTION 18-76, MAXIMUM
LIMITS ON SPECIFIC STREETS; AND PROVIDING A
REPEALING CLAUSE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ,
TEXAS:
SECTION I
THAT, Section 18-75 of the Code of Ordinances, City of Schcrtz, Texas
be amended to add the following:
"Section 18-75, "Maximum Limits in school zones"
It shall be unlawful for any person to drive or operate any motor vehicle at
a rate of speed in excess of that which is posted within a school speed zone, the
limits of which shall be designated by school speed limit signs, on any day of any
regular or any special or summer school term, between the hours of 7:00 a.m.
and 9:00 a.m. or between the hours of 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. to include the
lunch period, 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m,. or between any other designated and
posted hours.
