CALL TO ORDER:
HEARING OF RESIDENTS
This time is reserved for any person who wishes to address the Library Advisory Board. Presentations should be
limited to no more than 5 minutes. Each person who wishes to speak should sign in on the Speaker’s register prior
to the meeting. The Board can only discuss items that are on the agenda. Discussion by the Board of any item not
on the agenda shall be limited to statements of specific factual information given in response to any inquiry, a
recitation of existing policy in response to an inquiry, and/or a proposal to place the item on a future agenda. The
presiding officer, during the Hearing of Residents portion of the agenda, will call on those persons who have signed
up to speak in the order they have registered.

1. Minutes - Consideration and/or action regarding the approval of the minutes of February 3,

2. Treasurer’s Report – Consideration and/or action approving the January 2014 Treasurer’s
Report
3. Librarians’ Report – Librarian will report on the following items:
• January 2014 Library usage statistics
• General operation of library during previous month
4. Bookstore Report – Report on the following items:
• General operation of the bookstore during previous month
• Recap of February book sale
DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION
5. February 10th Semi-Annual Meeting of City Board, Commission & Committee
Chairpersons—Recap of information exchanged at the Chair meeting.
6. Projects Honoring Hal Baldwin and Gail Douglas—Discussion and possible action on
choosing an appropriate project in memory of Hal Baldwin and in honor and appreciation of Gail
Douglas’ service to the library.
7. Purchase of Library Materials—Discussion and possible action regarding the purchase
of new non-fiction materials for the adult and juvenile collections.
8. Digitization of Valley News—Discussion and possible action regarding payment for the
digitization of The Valley News, 1964-1968.
