Bertoia, Adult Services Librarian, and Brian James, City Manager's Office.

CALL TO ORDER: Patti Dilworth called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.
1. Minutes: Consideration and /or action regarding the approval of the minutes
of the May 1, 2017 meeting.
Sandy Keiser moved to accept the May minutes as written. Patti Paulson seconded
the motion. Motion carried. The May 1, 2017 minutes were approved with no
corrections.
2. Treasurer's Reports: Consideration and /or action regarding the approval of
April 2017 Treasurer's Report.
The April Treasurer's Report reflected income of $2,818.73 and expenses of
$3,423.72 leaving a balance of $16,322.78 in the cash account. Dawn Figueras
moved to accept the April 2017 Treasurer's Report as presented. Patti Paulson
seconded the motion. The motion carried. The April 2017 Treasurer's report was
approved.

Library Operation: - Lizzie Bertoia provided the update. She said the Summer
Reading program had begun and there is also an ongoing Scholastic Book Fair. The
library has been very busy.
4. Bookstore Report: Committee reported on the following items:
Book Sale:
-Next sale will be August 4 -5.
- Signup sheet was passed to volunteer before, during, and after the sale.
General Operations:
- Bookstore will be closed June 24th for the Mini -Golf Fundraiser.
- Donations continue to come in.
5. Committees of Committees Advisory Board (CCAB) Update: Shonale
Burke
Committee received a presentation from Public Affairs. We discussed how the city
communicates with citizens through public announcements, Schertz Magazine,
social media, and the realization that one method doesn't work for all.
6. Library Foundation Fundraiser: Consideration and /or action on providing
support to Foundation's Mini -Golf Fundraiser.
The Library Foundation is holding their Mini -Golf Fundraiser on June 24th from
10am to 6pm. There are 1.5 holes still available for sponsorship and there will be a
silent auction. Shonale Burke moved that we donate $350 to the foundation for food
at the event. Patti Paulson seconded the motion. The motion carried.

7. Items by the Library Board Members: Briefing and discussion on the
following items:
- Correspondence received by the Secretary: None received
-Other announcements by Library Board Members: None.
