The Transportation Safety Advisory Commission (TSAC) convened for a meeting on January 4,
2018 at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chamber Conference Room, Building #4, 1400 Schertz Parkway,
Schertz, Texas 78154.

CALL TO ORDER AT 5:30pm by Chairman Stephen Bish

HEARING OF RESIDENTS
Tim Fetter, Ashley Oaks Drive, came to speak about, and ask help with, the parking around his retail
property located directly next to Kellum Medical Group on Ashley Oak Drive. He provided pictures
and states that he is concerned for the safety of his patrons as they pull out from his property.
1. Minutes: Consideration and /or action regarding the approval of the minutes of the December
7, 2017 Meeting.
A motion was made by Commissioner Richard Dziewit to approve the minutes of the
December 7, 2017 Meeting. Second by Commissioner Pete Ryson. Motion passed. Vote was
unanimous.
2. Impact Fees: Mr. James gave update on Roadway Impact Fees. Commissioners are invited
to attend the upcoming P &Z Meeting this next Wednesday where further fee rate information
and discussion will take place.
3. Staff Comments: Staff gave update on the following areas:
• Schertz Parkway reconstruction project on schedule
• TxDot has made requested sign improvements on FM1518 and Main St.

4. Future Agenda Items Requests and /or Comments by Commissioners:
• Commissioner Bowers requested to discuss the continued speeding issues within the Lone
Oak subdivision.
• Commissioner Ryson suggested we discuss the possibility of a catastrophe /disaster plan
for emergencies.
• Commissioner Moody would like to discuss people running the stop sign located at Bent
Tree and Woodland Oaks. Also requesting to discuss the timing on the left hand turn lane
signal on FM3009, at FM78, located directly in front of Christian Brothers Automotive
Schertz. Staff to inform TxDot of timing concern.
• Commissioner Sullivan asking for any updated information regarding the condition of Old
Wiederstein.

Adjournment: Motion made by Commissioner Phillip Rowland to adjourn the meeting.
Second by Commissioner Richard Dziewit. Motion passed. Vote was unanimous. Meeting
adjourned at 6:29PM.
