P Z 9-26-18 MinutesPLANNING AND ZONING MINUTES September 26, 2018 The Schertz Planning and Zoning Commission convened on September 26, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at the Municipal Complex, Council Chambers, 1400 Schertz Parkway Building #4, Schertz, Texas. Call To Order: CITY STAFF Lesa Wood, Director of Planning &Community Dev. Tiffany Danhof, Executive Assistant Bryce Cox, Senior Planner Emily Grobe, Planner Nick Koplyay, Planner Megan Santee, City Attorney OTHERS PRESENT Wayne Pruski, SCUCISD Francisco Perez, SCUCISD Kevin Fleming Robert and Imelda Cantu Mr. Dahle called the meeting to order at 6 :00 P.M. 2. Hear of Residents: There were no residents who spoke. 3. Presentation: A presentation was given to the commissioners by Wayne Pruski, Chief Operations Officer of SCUCISD, and Francisco Perez, Director of Facilities of SCUCISD. There was a brief discussion. 4. Consent Agenda: A. Minutes for the August 22, 2018 and September 12, 2018 regular meetings. There was a brief discussion. Mr. Greenwald second the motion. The vote was 6 -0, motion carried. 5. Items for Individual Consideration: A. PC2018 -027 Consider and act upon a request for approval of a preliminary plat for Unit 7 of the Homestead subdivision, an approximate 27 acre tract of land generally located approximately 380 feet east of the intersection of Crocket Cove and Winkler Trail, Guadalupe County, Texas. There was a brief discussion. Mr. Braud motioned to approve PC2018 -027. Mrs. Bacon seconded the motion. The vote was 6 -0, motion carried. B. PC2018 -028 Consider and act upon a request for approval of a preliminary plat for Unit 10 of the Homestead subdivision, an approximate 14 acre tract of land generally located approximately 1,100 feet east of the intersection of Crocket Cove and Winkler Trail, Guadalupe County, Texas. There was a brief discussion. Mr. Outlaw motioned to approve PC2018 -028. Mr. Rae seconded the motion. The vote was 6 -0, motion carried. C. WA2018 -006 Consider and act upon a request for approval of a waiver regarding on -site sewage facilities for the Cantu Ranch Subdivision, an approximately 39 acre tract of land located approximately 2,000 feet east of the intersection of Ware Seguin Road and Boenig Drive, more specifically described as 11330 Ware Seguin Road, City of Schertz, Bexar County. There was no discussion. Mr. Greenwald motioned to approve WA2018 -006. Mr. Braud seconded the motion. The vote was 6 -0, motion carried. D. PC2017 -025 Consider and act upon a request for approval of a preliminary plat of the Cantu Ranch Subdivision, an approximately 39 acre tract of land located approximately 2,000 feet east of the intersection of Ware Seguin Road and Boenig Drive, more specifically described as 11330 Ware Seguin Road, City of Schertz, Bexar County. The vote was 6 -0, motion carried. 6. Requests and Announcements: A. Requests by Commissioners to place items on a future Planning and Zoning Agenda. Mr. Braud requested a workshop /discussion on article 21.8.2 Automatic Teller Machines. B. Announcements by Commissioners. Announcements by City Staff. • City and community events attended and to be attended. • NEW SITE PLAN APPLICATIONS: There were no new site plan applications submitted to the Planning and Community Development Department between September 7, 2018 and September 21, 2018.
