TEXAS.
WHEREAS, the extra territorial jurisdiction boundaries of the
cities of Universal City and Schertz, Texas are now in conflict
and not clearly defined and,

�MEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council of the City of
Schertz to have clearly defined boundaries and to execute same with
Universal City, Texas under the authority of Article 970A, Vernon's
Annotated Texas Statutes also known as the municipal Annexation Act.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHE.qTZ, TEXAS:
The Mayor and City Secretary of the City of Schertz, Texas are
hereby authorized to sign the attached agreement marked Attachment A
for purposes of binding the City of Schertz, Texas to said agreement
resolving all overlapping extra-territorial jurisdiction with the city
of Universal City, Tc-.cas under the authority of Article 970A, Vernon's
Annotated Texas Statutes, also known as the Municipal Annexation Act.
Upon the signing of such agreement by the Mayor and City Secretary such
agreement shall be binding on the City of Schertz, Texas.
PASSED and APPROVED on this the 20th day of January, 1972.

AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITIES OF U1,TIVERSAL CITY, TE.V,_S AND SCHERTZ, TEXAS
RESOLVING OVEPJAPPINO EXTRATERRITORIAL JURISDICTION.
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: that the city of Universal City, Texas
and the city of Schertz, Texas for the purposes of resolving a present con-
flict arising from the overlapping of each respective city's extraterritorial
jurisdiction in consideration for one another's consent to this agreement
hereby agree that the following metes and bounds description shall consti-
tute the common boundary of each respective city's extraterritorial Jurisdic-
tion at the geographical locations included in such descriptions which are
as follows:
Tract (1) Beginning at a point established by a distance of 4,250 feet
N 600 41' E from the present boundary of Universal City to a
point on the center line of Cibolo Creek, and thence along, the
present boundary of Universal City, said boundary being the

center line of Cibolo Creek in a southerly direction a distance
of approximately 5,000 feet to a point on the southeast property
.line of the Milton Ackermann 114.94 acre tract, and thence in
a northeasterly direction along the southeast property line of

the Milton Ackerma-nn 11•.94 acre tract, a distance of approximate-
' ly 2,124 feet;
Be-inning from such point as established above thence in a north-
westerly westerly direction crossing the G. C. Boggess, Sr., 133.56 acre

tract and crossing the Allan H. Biegert 101.46 acre tract, a
distance of approximately 3,050 feet to the most eastern corner
of the George Gesche 25 acre tract;
Thence in a northwesterly direction along the northeast property

line of the George Gesche 25 acre and 105 acre tracts, a distance

of approximately 2,500 feet to a point on the southeast property
line of the Fred HelmIzze 114.44 acre tract.
Tract (2) Beginning at the centerline of Cibolo Creek and the south ROW of the
Southern Pacific R.R. which point is now the common boundary of
Univetsal City and Schertz, Texas,
Thence extending southwesterly along the south ROW of the Southern
Pacific R.R. to a point in the city limits line of Universal City,
Texas,
Thence, across F14 78 in a southeasterly direction along the present
city limits line of Universal City, Texas to a point in the property
line of Randolph Air Force Base, thereby extending extra territorial
jurisdiction to the City of Schertz of all properties lying south

of the Southern Pacific R.R. ROW and east of Randolph Air Force Base.
Wherefore the respective Mayors and City Secretary of the cities of Univer-
sal City and Schertz, Texas hereunto have affixed their seals and signatures
after authorization having been duly obtained by ordinance from their respective
City Councils, this agreement therefore being executed in the City of Universal
