1. Minutes: Consideration andlor action regarding the approval of the minutes
of the April 4,2016 meeting.
Ruth Tienor moved to accept the March minutes after correction. Patti Paulson
seconded the motion. Motion carried. The April 4,2016 minutes were approved
after corrected.
2. Treasurer's Reports: Consideration andlor action regarding the approval of
March 2016 Treasurer's Report,

'GeneraLopgrgtion: - Natalie Shults gave the Librarian's Report; Melissa Uhlhorn was
not able to attend the May meeting.
-Staffing changes- shelving person was hired; the City is going to notify the person
they got the position. Clerk position has been posted with the City.
-Natalie Shults gave a brief overview of the PLA meeting. She and April Toman
9ttended the conference and came home with great ideas. Natalie passed around
r-naterials from the PLA.
-Passed around feedback cards. There was both positive and negative feedback
cards.
-Parking issues - especially during peak school times. Melissa Uhlhorn is checking
211 options to see how they can control the congestion.
-Patti Paulson had some questions about the volunteer waiting list.

-Things are running smooth.

-Donations are coming in.
-Book sale is scheduled for July 29th-30th with setup on the 281h at 4:30. The new
book bag prices will be $4.00 at this sale.
-Corrections to the Bookstore Volunteer Handbook were discussed. The correction
that was discussed was about closing out the register.
5. Update on Mayor's Committee: No update but need to choose a new
representative because Howson's resignation.
Shonale Burke was appointed to the CCAP to replace Howson Lau. Howson resigned
from his position. Howson is moving.

6. City of Schertz Strategic Plan- Overview of the 2016 strategic plan adopted
by City Council.
7. Purchase of Library Materials - Discussion and possible action regarding
the purchase of replacement materials (because of weeding projecw and the
purchase ofe-books and e-audio books.
B. Coffee Service- Discussion and possible action on implementing coffee sales at
the library.

the courtyard area.
