ORDINANCE NO. 06-F-53
AN ORDINANCE
BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SCHERTZ, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT THE CODE
OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS BE
AMENDED BY REVISING CHAPTER 90, WATER,
W ASTEW ATER AND WASTE DISPOSAL, EXHIBIT
2; WATER CONNECTION CHARGE; PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND PROVIDING A
REPEALING CLAUSE; AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS:
THAT, Chapter 90, Exhibit 2, of the Code of Ordinances, of the City of Schertz,
Texas be amended as follows:
"Chapter 90, Water, Wastewater and Waste Disposal, Exhibit 2, Water connection
charge.
(a) The following connection charges will be in effect November 7,2006
5/8" x %" water connection charge $ 215.00
%" x %" water connection charge $ 236.00
1" xl" water connection charge $ 284.00
1 W' water connection charge $ 460.00
2" water connection charge $ 545.00
Meters larger then listed are at meter cost plus labor and material.
(b) The regular connection charges will be: the current cost plus fifteen percent (15%)
of the labor and materials to install the meter.
(c) Ten dollars ($10.00) shall be added to the above fee for connections outside the
city limits.
(d) Other charges in conjunction with extension of water service will be in accordance
with ARTICLE II and Exhibit 1 (Water and Sewer Extension Policy).
SECTION 2
THAT the provisions of this Ordinance shall be in force and effective as
of November 7,2006.
SECTION 3
THAT the Council hereby determined that an emergency exists requiring
immediate action, and this Ordinance is hereby passed as an emergency measure to be
effective immediately upon its passage and the enactment of this Ordinance as an
emergency measure in accordance with the provisions of Section 4.09 (e) of the City's
Home Rule Charter will contribute to the preservation of the public peace, health, or
safety.
SECTION 4
THAT, all ordinances or parts of ordinances 1ll conflict with this
Ordinance are hereby repealed.
