ORDINANCE NO. 90-D- ~
AN ORDINANCE
BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ,
TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES,
CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS BE AMENDED BY REVISING
SECTION 18-32 STOP INTERSECTIONS; SECTION 18-
35 YIELD INTERSECTIONS AND SECTION 18-76
MAXIMUM SPEED ON SPECIFIC STREETS AND
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCE OR PARTS OF
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS:
SECTION I
THAT Section 18-32 of the Code of Ordinances, City of
Schertz, Texas, be amended by adding the following:
"Section 18-32 Stop Intersections-Designated-Generally.
Through Streets
Cross or Stop Street
Woodland Oaks Drive
Bent Tree Drive
Greenshire Drive
Greenshire Drive
Bent Tree Drive
Farm Road 3009
(Jack Hays Blvd)"
Green Valley Road
SECTION II
THAT Section 18-35 of the Code of Ordinances, City of
Schertz, Texas be amended by adding the following:
"Section 18-35 Yield Intersections-Designated.
Right-of-Way Street
Yield Street
Bent Tree Drive
Oak Tree Circle
Mount Laurel"

SECTION III
THAT Section 18-76 of the Code of Ordinances, City of
Schertz, Texas, be amended by adding the following:
"Section 18-76 Maximum limits on specific Streets.
"Street
Extent
Speed Limit
Woodland Oaks Drive
From easterly city limits
to Cotton King Drive
30 MPH"
SECTION IV
THAT all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
with this ordinance are hereby repealed.

SUBJECT: Additions to Traffic Code - Woodland Oaks/Greenshire Subdivision
In response to an inquiry, we have determined specific streets, speed limit,
stop signs, and yield regulations have not been added to our current traffic
code.
In order to properly sign and control these streets, we recommend the following
additions: (1) revise section 18-~2.... to provide that Bent Tree Drive and
Greenshire Drive are IIstopll streets to Hoodland Oaks - IIthroughll street;
(2) add section 18-35 to provide Oak Tree Circle and Mount Laurel be designated
as lIyieldll streets to Bent Tree Drive; (3) revise section 18-76 to extend
30 mile speed limit on Woodland, Oaks from easterly city limits~ to Cotton
King Drive.
These additions will provide the legislative authority for necessary
regulations in this area.
