AN ORDINANCE
BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS,
CANVASSING THE RETURNS AND DECLARING THE RESULTS
OF THE CITY GENERAL ELECTION HELD IN SAID CITY ON
THE if Rfhy 1ft, () J , AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, there came on to be considered the returns of
a City Council election duly and legally held in the City of
Schertz, Texas, on May 4, 1991 and
WHEREAS, this City Council has diligently inquired into
the poll lists and official election returns which were duly and
lawful 1 y made to said City Council by the judge and clerks
holding said election; and
WHEREAS, from said returns, this City Council hereby
finds that there were cast in said election by those voters who
were residents qualified electors of the City the following
votes:

WHEREAS, from the above tabulation and findings, this
City Council further finds that there were cast in said election
a total of 779 votes and that for Councilman, Place 3
Barbara Stanhope received a plurality of votes cast; and
in Councilman, Place 4 Mary Marsh ,
received a plurality of votes cast; and in Councilman, Place 5
Ken Greenwald receivea a plurality of votes
cast; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS;
THAT
elected Councilman, Place 3; and MARY MARSH
is duly elected Councilman, Place 4; and
KEN GREENWALD is duly elected Councilman, Place 5, on
the City Council of the City of Schertz, Texas, pursuantto the
election duly held within said City on

THAT the public importance of this measure constitutes
and creates an urgent necessity to comply with State election law
that requires this ordinance be passed and take effect as an
emergency measure, and shall take effect and be in force
immediately upon and after its passage.
