CALL TO ORDER
HEARING OF RESIDENTS
This time is set-aside for any person who wishes to address the Parks Advisory Board. Each
person should fill out the speaker’s register prior to the meeting. Presentations should be limited
to no more than 5 minutes. Discussion by the Board of any item not on the agenda shall be limited
to statements of specific information given in response to any inquiry, a recitation of existing policy
in response to an inquiry, and/or a proposal to place the item on a future agenda. The presiding
officer, during the Hearing of Residents portion of the agenda, will call on those persons who have
signed up to speak in the order they have registered.
REGULAR AGENDA
DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION
1. Minutes – Consideration and/or action regarding the approval of the minutes of the
November 18, 2019 regular meeting.
2. Rose Garden Elementary 4th grade STEM program – Presentation regarding the
Planning & Parks’ Departments visit to the 4th grade Lego League Robotics team and
the students’ projects on making parks more inclusive. (J. Montney)
3. Park Projects Update – Update regarding various park projects including Heritage
Oaks Park Playscape, Schertz Pedestrian Routes & Bike Lanes Project, Pickrell Park
Painting Project, Hilltop Park Conceptual Plan, and other maintenance projects. (J.
Montney, L. Shrum)
4. Trails Update – Discussion on steps taken regarding trail planning since the
November 2019 meeting. (L. Shrum)
5. Schertz Area Senior Center Update – Update regarding 2020 Request for Proposals
(RFP) process for operation of the Schertz Area Senior Center and other updates
regarding programming, attendance, and membership growth. (L. Shrum)

6. Parks Tour – Discussion and/or action on scheduling a Parks tour for Council
Members and Board Members to tour all City of Schertz Parks. (L. Shrum)
7. Committee of Committees Advisory Board (CCAB) Update – Discussion and/or
action on CCAB update. (F. Simmons)
REQUESTS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
8. Requests by Advisory Board Chairman and Board members for items to be placed on
future agendas.
9. Announcements by Advisory Board Chairman and Board members
