09-28-2023 Agenda Updated CVLGC AMENDED MEETING AGENDA September 28, 2023 The Cibolo Valley Local Government Corporation will meet September 28, 2023, 1:00 P.M. at the City of Schertz, Council Chambers, located at 1400 Schertz Parkway, Schertz, Texas. All agenda items listed below will be considered for discussion and/or action at said meeting. 1. Call meeting to order. 2. Roll call. 3. Pledge of Allegiance. 4. Public Comment. 5. Approval of Minutes for meeting held August 24, 2023. 6. Executive Director’s Report – Alan Cockerell, Interim Executive Director. a. Audit Risk Report Update b. EUWCD c. Region L 7. Discussion and/or Action to Modify Compensation and Duration of Consultant Agreement with Jackie Gaines. (Alan Cockerell, Interim Executive Director) 8. FY2022-2023 Budget Amendment. (Alan Cockerell, Interim Executive Director) a. Resolution # CVLGC2023-05 9. Discussion and/or Action on Unclaimed Funds. 10. Executive Session called under (i) Chapter 551 Government Code, Section 551.071 to seek the advice of its attorney on legal matters related to Strategic Plan, (ii) Section 551.072 for deliberations regarding real estate and Section 551.071 to seek the advice of its attorney on legal matters to discuss groundwater permitting and groundwater leases. 11. Discussion and/or possible action on items considered in Executive Session. 12. Consideration and/or action on questions and possible items to be placed on the next agenda. 13. Adjournment. This agenda has been reviewed and approved by CVLGC’s legal counsel and the presence of any subject in any Executive Session portion of the agenda constitutes a written interpretation of Texas Government Code Chapter 551 by legal counsel for the government body and constitutes an opinion by the attorney that the items discussed therein may be legally discussed in the closed portion of the meeting considering available options of a court of record and opinions of the Texas Attorney General know to the attorney. This provision has been added to this agenda with the intent to meet all elements necessary to satisfy Texas Government Code 551.144(c) and the meeting is conducted by all participants in reliance on this opinion.
