CVLGC MEETING AGENDA
October 26, 2023
The Cibolo Valley Local Government Corporation will meet October 26, 2023, 8:30 A.M. at the City of
Schertz, Council Chambers, located at 1400 Schertz Parkway, Schertz, Texas.
All agenda items listed below will be considered for discussion and/or action at said meeting.
1. Call meeting to order.
2. Pledge of Allegiance.
3. Roll Call.
4. Public comment.
5. Approval of Minutes for meeting held September 28, 2023.
6. Executive Director’s Report – Alan Cockerell, Interim Executive Director.
7. Presentation of Financial Reports- Alan Cockerell, Interim Executive Director
a. Financial Reports for quarter ending September 30, 2023
b. Investment Report for quarter ending September 30, 2023
8. Discussion and possible action regarding the CVLGC Budget Policy.
9. Discussion and possible action regarding Financial Controls for the Corporation.
10. Discussion and possible action regarding meeting with representatives of the Cities of Cibolo, Schertz,
Seguin, and the Schertz Seguin Local Government Corporation regarding possible cooperative projects
between the corporation and the cities and/or the Schertz Seguin Local Government Corporation.
11. Discussion and possible action of the Strategic Plan.
12. Executive Session called under (i) Chapter 551 Government Code, Section 551.071 to seek the advice of
its attorney on legal matters related to Strategic Plan, (ii) Section 551.072 for deliberations regarding real
estate and Section 551.071 to seek the advice of its attorney on legal matters to discuss groundwater
permitting and groundwater leases.
13. Discussion and/or possible action on items considered in Executive Session.
14. Consideration and/or action on questions and possible items to be placed on the next agenda.
15. Adjournment.
This agenda has been reviewed and approved by CVLGC’s legal counsel and the presence of any subject in
any Executive Session portion of the agenda constitutes a written interpretation of Texas Government Code
Chapter 551 by legal counsel for the government body and constitutes an opinion by the attorney that the
items discussed therein may be legally discussed in the closed portion of the meeting considering available
options of a court of record and opinions of the Texas Attorney General know to the attorney. This provision
has been added to this agenda with the intent to meet all elements necessary to satisfy Texas Government
Code 551.144(c) and the meeting is conducted by all participants in reliance on this opinion.
