Presentations should be limited to no more than 5 minutes. Each person should fill out the Speaker’s register prior to the meeting located in the lobby.  The Commission can only discuss items that are on the agenda. SIGHT OBSTRUCTION – LAZY OAK AT CREST OAK 9 Status:  Neighborhood Services issued a written warning on 5-21-24 allowing the property owner to correct the violation by 6-3-24. Public Works and Neighborhood Services completed a site visit on 6-5-24 and the resident did trim back the shrubs, improving visibility. Staff agree that this issue has been resolved and the case is closed.  9 ITEM 2– TRAFFIC STUDY UPDATES  c. SCHERTZ PARKWAY CROSSWALK 10 BUFFALO SCHERTZ PARKWAY PECAN Continued concern regarding safety of crossing Schertz Parkway at Pecan and/or Buffalo.  A Warrant study performed in 2018 included Buffalo intersection. A Warrant study performed in 2023 included Pecan only. Recommendation: Consultant will be completing a full study for both Pecan and Buffalo intersections for vehicle and pedestrian counts and will provide recommendation for crosswalk enhancement. This will be completed once school restarts in August/Sept time frame.  10 ITEM 3 – CITIZEN REQUESTED ITEM UPDATES a. STOP SIGN REQUEST 11              SCENIC HILLS                                                                      Request for Stop Sign on (Private, Gated Community)                                                       Cherryhurst at Hunters Glen Country Club Staff provided information to the HOA on how to proceed with the fabrication and installation of the requested stop sign.  Staff  spoke with  HOA president Gregory Sebold and he asked for staff to review all Scenic Hills  current signs as many signs are missing or need to be replaced. Public Works will provide pricing once an evaluation has been completed.  11 ITEM 3 – CITIZEN REQUESTED ITEM UPDATES b. TRUCK TRAFFIC COMPLAINTS 15 CROSSVINE WOODLAND OAKS EAST OF FM 3009 3009East of FM 3009 Lower Seguin FM 1518 Schertz  Cibolo  Woodland Oaks FM 3009 15 ITEM 3 – CITIZEN REQUESTED ITEM UPDATES b. TRUCK TRAFFIC COMPLAINTS 16 WOODLAND OAKS EAST OF FM 3009 – Complaint came from a Cibolo resident who lives on Green Valley Loop. Cibolo has passed "No thru trucks" ordinances for this area 16 ITEM 3 – CITIZEN REQUESTED ITEM UPDATES b. TRUCK TRAFFIC COMPLAINTS 17 Staff is not recommending any action at this time given that only one complaint has been received from a Cibolo resident, the City of Cibolo has already passed a no thru trucks ordinance and signed it, and no complaints have been received from Schertz residents. The City of Cibolo can enforce their ordinance in response to their resident's complaint. Barring objections from TSAC, staff will close this item. 17 ITEM 3 – CITIZEN-REQUESTED ITEM UPDATES c. AERO AND OAK MULTIWAY STOP STUDY  18 AERO AVENUE OAK STREET Staff will recommend to Council to establish a multiway stop control at intersection of Aero and Oak as part of the Chapter 86 updates. NEXT STEP: Fabrication and installation of signs with flags, signage and public awareness of new multiway stop. This will not be completed before Jubilee Days. 18 ITEM 4 – COMMISSIONER REQUESTED ITEM UPDATES a. BASKETBALL GOALS IN RIGHT OF WAYS DRAFT: BB goals are allowed in the street (abutted against the curb line) only if the width of the street is 38'* or less And the speed limit is 20 mph or less. *width of the street is based on the feeder street for a cul-de-sac not the diameter  of the cul-de-sac 19 19 ITEM 5 – STAFF COMMENTS AND/OR NEW REQUESTS WARE SEGUIN – ESTRADA FENCE DAMAGE New Signage and Light 20 20 ITEM 5 – STAFF COMMENTS AND/OR NEW REQUESTS           b.  FM 1518 SCHOOL ZONE SPEEDING CONCERNS NEAR FOUNDER'S ACADEMY 21 No relief on this issue until FM 1518 Construction is completed PD will continue to monitor work with TXDot and Founder's Academy to develop an action plan to mitigate the issue that is fiscally viable for all stakeholders 21 ITEM 5 – STAFF COMMENTS AND/OR NEW REQUESTS c.      SCHERTZ PARKWAY AT CURTISS  Flags on stop signs were tattered, staff removed old flags.  These can be replaced when attention needs to be brought to these signs again.                22 22 ITEM 6 – FUTURE AGENDA ITEM REQUESTS FROM COMMISSIONERS  ITEM 7 – ADJOURNMENT Next Meeting August 1, 2024 23 23 24 24
