A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE
OF ONE (1) NEW AMBULANCE REMOUNT FROM
MEDIC BUILT FOR FISCAL YEAR 2024/2025 AND
OTHER MATTERS IN CONNECTION THEREWITH
WHEREAS, the Schertz EMS Department has chosen MEDIC BUILT, a HGACBuy Purchasing
Cooperative vendor, for the purchase of one (1) Ford Ambulance; and
WHEREAS, the total cost of one ambulance will be $214,075.45 as outlined in Exhibit A and not to
exceed $220,000; and
WHEREAS, this purchase will be funded with budgeted operating costs from the Y25
approved budget; and
WHEREAS, HGACBuy Purchasing Cooperative is a national online purchasing cooperative,
developed to comply with state laws which require government entities to make purchases
through a competitive procurement process; and
WHEREAS, HGACBuy Purchasing Cooperative gives public entities the advantage of leveraging
the cooperative's ability to obtain bulk discounts, combined with the ease of online, web -
based shopping and ordering; and
WHEREAS, purchases under the cooperative programs meet the requirements under the Texas
Local Government Purchasing Code rule for cooperative purchases as adopted by the City of
Schertz Resolution 11-R-41 on August 30, 2011 amending the City's purchasing policy;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SCHERTZ, TEXAS THAT:
Section 1. The City Council hereby authorizes the purchase of one ambulance remount
for $214,075.45 as outlined in Exhibit A not to exceed $220,000.
Section 2. The recitals contained in the preamble hereof are hereby found to be true,
and such recitals are hereby made a part of this Resolution for all purposes and are
adopted as a part of the judgment and findings of the City Council.
Section 3. All resolutions, or parts thereof, which are in conflict or inconsistent with
any provision of this Resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict, and
the provisions of this Resolution shall be and remain controlling as to the matters
resolved herein.
Section 4. This Resolution shall be construed and enforced in accordance with the
laws of the State of Texas and the United States of America.
Section 5. If any provision of this Resolution or the application thereof to any person
or circumstance shall be held to be invalid, the remainder of this Resolution and the
application of such provision to other persons and circumstances shall nevertheless be
valid, and the City Council hereby declares that this Resolution would have been
enacted without such invalid provision.
Section 6. It is officially found, determined, and declared that the meeting at which
this Resolution is adopted was open to the public and public notice of the time, place,
and subject matter of the public business to be considered at such meeting, including
this Resolution, was given, all as required by Chapter 551, Texas Government Code,
as amended.
Section 7. This Resolution shall be in force and effect from and after its final passage,
and it is so resolved.

To Whom It May Concern:
This LETTER OF INTENT ("LOP') is made this l 0`h day of July, 2024 between the City of Schertz
("City") and Medic Built, LLC ("Vendor").
WHEREAS City desires to purchase certain products, and/or services more specifically described
below for the total amount of $214,075.45.00 (hereafter "Products"),
NOW THEREFORE, the Parties hereto, for good and valuable consideration, the receipt and
sufficiency of which are hereby acknowledged, do hereby agree as follows:
