Board President William Dixon asked for a motion to approve the consent agenda for November 20, 2025. Brian Jones moved to approve, Ray Chavez seconded. Motion carries, unanimous; 5-0.   Discussion Only   2.Discussion of memo from finance regarding City of Schertz Sales Tax Revenue Increase. (S. Wayman) Scott Wayman, Executive Director of Economic Development, addressed the Finance Department’s memo regarding the increase in sales tax revenue. He noted that the past few months have been unusually high and the sales tax revenue is expected to normalize in the near future.   3.Staff briefing on SEDC monthly financial statements for the months of November and December 2025 (S.Wayman) Scott Wayman, Executive Director, provided an overview of the November 2025 & December 2025 Financial Statements. November 2025: Sales tax revenue received for the month of November totaled $1,461,034.49, representing a 131.9% increase over the same period in the prior year. Total expenses for November were $19,114.46. Mr. Dixon asked about the $15,000 paid for Greater SATX membership. Scott Wayman, Amy Madison & board member Ray Chavez spoke about the importance of the organization to the EDC and the region. December 2025 Sales tax revenue received for the month of November totaled $2,605,575.87, representing a 361.5% increase over the same period in the prior year. Total expenses for November were $15,747.91.   Discussion and Possible Action   SEDC Agenda January 22, 2026 Page 2 of 4 4.Authorizing the Executive Director to enter into a professional services agreement with TIP Strategies, Inc., not to exceed $150,000 for purposes of developing a Comprehensive Economic Development Strategic Plan (CEDS 3.0) for the City of Schertz Economic Development Corporation. Next SEDC Regulary Meeting - February 26, 2026.3. Scott Wayman discussed all announcements with the Board. Requests by Board Members to place items on a future SEDC Board Meeting agenda. Ray Chavez requested name tags for Board members to wear at Ribbon Cuttings and other events. Amy Madison explained that staff were in the process of ordering name tags for the Board. Ray also asked about duties as assigned to Board member's appointments in the Bylaws.
