MASTER THOROUGHFARE PLAN MEETING
September 30, 2026
A Master Thoroughfare Plan Meeting was held by the City of Schertz Engineering Department
of the City of Schertz, Texas, on September 30, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in Civic Center Ballroom,
1400 Schertz Parkway, Building #5, Schertz, Texas. The following members present to -wit:
Present: Mayor Pro Tern Michelle Watson; Councilmember Robert Westbrook;
Councilmember Sarah Dietz; Councilmember Robert Sheridan
Staff Deputy City Manager Brian James; City Secretary Sheila Edmondson; City
present: Engineer Kathy Woodlee; Assistant City Engineer John Nowak
Deputy City Manager Brian James and City Engineer Kathy Woodlee welcomed the residents to
the Master Thoroughfare Plan meeting. CE Woodlee presented a short PowerPoint to the
residents about the alignment refinements and one new alignment that was identified in the City
Comprehensive Plan.
The Master Thoroughfare Plan Meeting is an opportunity to have a discussion and receive
feedback from residents regarding the proposed plan. The Schertz MTP serves as a framework to
identify future transportation needs for the area.
The Presentation/Meeting ended at 7:15 p.m. After the presentation, residents had the
opportunity to speak to staff about their individual concerns.
