AMENDMENT TO TASK ORDER
Amendment No. 4
Task Order Number: 14
Project Name: Schertz/Lookout Road Reconstruction
Owner: City of Schertz
Engineer: Halff Associates, Inc.
General Purpose of the Amendment:
This Amendment encompasses redesign of the Schertz Parkway and Lookout Road
intersection. Additionally, this Amendment includes revisions required to complete the
additional Correction Notice sent to Halff on July 28, 2026. The total amount of this
Amendment shall not exceed $35,000 without prior Authorization from the City of
Schertz.
Description of Modifications:
The total cost Amendment No. 4, Task Order 14 is $35,000.
Redesign of Schertz Parkway and Lookout Road Intersection ($30 000):
The City of Schertz has requested an intersection redesign in attempts to avoid right-of-
way impacts to the Blue Bonnet Palace property located southwest of the intersection
at 17630 Lookout Road. A preliminary layout for this change has been agreed upon by
Schertz (see attachment titled "Schertz Pkway Roadway Shift.") Halff anticipates
redesign effort will include structural, roadway, traffic, and drainage updates. Halff
estimates approximately 28 sheets will be needed to be updated to reflect updates to
the intersection. No updates to the Drainage Report are anticipated because of the
intersection redesign.
Additional Correction Notice ($5,000):
The City of Schertz has requested additional revisions as shown in the Corrections
Notice dated 7/28/2026 (see attached). This review encompasses additional traffic and
construction changes in addition to the changes included in redesign of the intersection.
Halff estimates approximately 10 sheets will need updates to reflect these additional
comments.
