BOA 04-28-2008 BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MUNICIPAL COMPLEX - COUNCIL CHAMBERS 1400 SCHERTZ PARKWAY, SCHERTZ, TEXAS 78154 AGENDA Monday, April 28, 2008 at 6:00p.m. After determining that a quorum is present, the Board of Adjustment of the City of Schertz, Texas will convene into a Regular Meeting on Monday, April 28, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, 1400 Schertz Parkway, Building #4, Schertz, Texas at which the following items will be considered: 1. CALL TO ORDER I ROLL CALL 2. HEARING OF RESIDENTS This time is set aside for any person who wishes to address the Board of Adjustment. Each person should fill out the Speaker's register prior to the meeting. Presentations should be limited to no more than five (5) minutes. The presiding officer, during the Hearing of Residents portion of the agenda, will call on those persons who have signed up to speak in the order they have registered. 3. Consider and act upon the Board of Adjustment minutes for March 24, 2008. 4. PUBLIC HEARINGS: The Board of Adjustment will hold a public hearing related to variance requests within this agenda. The public hearing will be opened to receive a report from staff, the applicant, and the adjoining property owners afficted by the applicants request, and upon completion, the public hearing will be closed. The Board will discuss and consider the application, and may request additional information from staff or the applicant, if required. After deliberation, the Board will act on the applicant's request. A. BOA 2008-004-A FM 78 and Mill Street Variance to Article VI, Table VI-B to allow a ten foot (10') reduction in the required 25 foot front yard setback resulting in a minimum front yard setback of 15 feet. (The applicant has requested to withdraw this item) B. BOA 2008-004-B FM 78 and Mill Street Variance to Article X, Section 7.2 to allow a reduction in the minimum number of parking spaces required for Retail Sales and Service establishment from six (6) spaces to four (4) spaces. (The applicant has requested to withdraw this item) C. BOA 2008-007 6032 FM 3009, Suite 190 Variance to Article IX, Section i, of the Unified Development Code (UDC) relating to the maximum area of a permitted wall sign for a business located on Lot 4, Block 1 of the FM 3009 Retail Subdivision located at the northeast comer of Four Oaks Lane and FM 3009 being 6032 FM 3009, Suite 190. 5.
