TRANSPORTATION SAFETY ADVISORY COMMISSION
MINUTES
December 6, 2007
The Transportation Safety Advisory Commission (TSAC) convened on December 6, 2007 at
6:30pm in the Council Chambers Workshop Conference Room, 1400 Schertz Parkway Bldg 4,
Schertz, Texas.
1. Call to order at 6:37 p.m.

2. Introduction of TSAC members
3. Hearing of residents.
Rudy Burgos - Present to discuss Item #7, thank you for striping Woodland Oaks and Schertz
Pkwy.
Robert Brockman - Woodland Oaks Drive looks good.
4. Approval of Minutes
Motion to Accept November minutes - Patricia Ramirez

5. Discussion and possible action on recommending reappointment of expired members
applications.
Andy Bores, Larry Franklin and Joseph Ward are up for renewal.
Motion to submit recommendation to Council for renewal of Andy Bores and Larry Franklin -

Open vacancy for Joseph Ward available.
6. Discussion and possible action on changing TSAC meeting time from 6:30 pm to either
6:00 pm or 5:30 pm.
After lengthy discussion, commission members agreed on a three (3) month trial of 5:30 pm for
meetings. After three month trial, a final decision will be made during April 2008 meeting.

7. Discussion and possible action regarding safety issues on Woodland Oaks Drive between
Schertz Parkway and Woodbridge Way in regards to island and visibility for drivers at
the intersection.
Mr. Taylor and Mr. Willoughby discussed and explained corrections made to area. Lighting
still an issue to Mr. Burgos. Mr. Taylor advised that once the area is developed, lighting will
not be an issue.

8. Discussion and possible action regarding article in Schertz Tales.
Brad Bailey will be doing an article per Don Taylor.
Agenda item to be removed from future agendas.
9. City Council Update
David Scagliola briefed the commission on the ongoing issues being discussed by City Council.
Permanent agenda item - no action required.
10. General discussion items by Commission Members for inclusion on next month's agenda
or items for Public Works Director information and action.

Meeting was adjourned at 7:25 p.m. The next meeting will be on February 7, 2008 at
5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers Conference Room.
