at the regular meeting place thereof in th City Hall, with
the following members present and in attendance, to-wit:

constituting a quorum; and among other proceeQings had were the
following:

Mayor Richard offered the following resolution to the
City Council:

IVHEREAS, under and by virtue of a resolution and order duly
passed by the City Council of the City of Schertz, Texas, on the
5th day of May, 1966, an election was held in said City on the
28th day of May, 1966, on the proposition for the issuance of
$400,000 revenue bonds of said City for the purpose of building and
purchasing an electric light system in and for said City; and
VrBEREAS, upon consideration of the returns of said election,
it a?pears that the same was in all respects legally held after
due notice had been given, and that said returns were duly and
legally made; and
WHEREAS, it further appears from said returns that at said
election there were cast ~ If) <(votes "FOR THE ISSUANCE OF
$400,000 ELECTRIC LIGHT SYSTEM REVENUE BONDS", and I 0'0 votes
were cast "AGAINST THE ISSUANCE OF $400,000 ELECTRIC LIGHT SYSTEM
REVENUE BONDS"; therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1: That the aforesaid election was duly and legally
c.:tlled and notice thereof given in accordance with the laws of the
State of Texas and the resolution and order calling said election;
that said election was held in strict conformity with the Constitu-
tion and laws of the State of Texas, and the returns thereof
have been properly made to the officials of the City entitled to
receive same; that only resident qualified electors, who owned
taxable property in said City and who had duly rendered the same
for taXation were permitted to vote at said election, and further
that said election properly represents the desires of those quali-
fied to vote as aforesaid.
SECTION 2: That the proposition to issue the $400,000
revenue bonds for the purpose of building and purchasing an elec-
tric light system in and for said City wa~stained by a majority
of Lhe resident qualified electors of said City, voting at said
election, who owned taxable property in said City and who had
duly rendered the same for taxation, and that the City Council
of said City is authorized to issue said bonds and to provide
for the payment of principal of and interest on said bonds in the
time and manner prescribed by law.
The above resolution having been read in full, it was
moved by Alcierman J1~J..fo-rJ ('" ~ 17- /-tand seconded by Alderman
~VM~M~ ~,~~~1 that the same be passed and adopted.
..ereupon, th Mayor put the motion to a vote of the members of the
City Council and the following members voted "AYE": Aldermen
Schertz, l' } .., Koym, Marx and Koch; and none voted "NO" 0
The Mayor declared the motion carried and the resolution
adopted.
