A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE CHIEF OF POLICE AND THE DULY APPOINTED
POLICE OFFICERS OF THE CITY OF SCHER~Z TO
ASSIST AND RECEIVE ASSISTANCE FROM THE POLICE
OFFICERS OF OTHER CITIES IN THE SUBREGION IN
ACCORDANCE WITH THIS RESOLUTION.
WHEREAS, Various cities in the Randolph Subregion are
municipal corporations adjacent to each other or so closely
interrelated to each other as to be contiguous, and
WHEREAS, It is to their mutual interest that they assist
each other in cases of emergency or other cases where it is to
their common benefit to suppress criminal activity and to en-
hance the enforcement of the laws of this State,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Chief of Police
of the City of Schertz and its duly appointed police officers
are hereby authorized and empowered to cooperate with, assist
and receive assistance from-the police officers of such neigh-
boring cities as who have executed similar resolutions and which
have been accepted by this City Council. Such mutual assistance
to be at such time and under such circumstances ~s the Chief of
Police of the City of Schertz may deem appropriate, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this is not to be construed as
the creation of a mutual aid law enforcement task force but is in-
tended primarily to implement and continue the mutual cooperation
and assistance previously extended by the above mentioned cities
to each other:
