A RESOLUTION
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM
DEED CONVEYING A PORTION OF THE RITTIMANN
WATER SYSTEM TO MR. RAY RITTIMANN
WHEREAS, the U. S. Corps of Engineers is in the process
of acquiring property adjacent to the east runway of Randolph Air Force
Base; and
WHEREAS, the Corps find it necessary to negotiate with
Ray Rittimann for his property between the runway and FM 78, said pro-
perty being part of that property over which the City-owned water system
known as the Rittimann Water System exists; and
WHEREAS, the Corps cannot negotiate with Mr. Rittimann
for his land unless he holds deed to the water system and water well
thereon; and
WHEREAS, the City is desirous of assisting the Corps of
Engineers in its efforts of land purchase in the designated "clear"
zone; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS:
That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a Quitclaim
Deed to convey all the City's rights, title and interest in that certain
3.73 acre parcel of land as described in metes and bounds marked Exhibit A
as an attachment to said Quitclaim Deed for the consideration of $1,175.00.

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
THAT THE .CITY OF SCHERTZ, State of Texas, a-municipal corporation, acting
herein by and through its duly constituted and authorized officials as indicated
below, for and in consideration of ONE THOUSAND, ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY-FIVE
& NO/lOO' ($1,175.00) DOLLARS and other good and valuable consideration to me in
hand paid by Ray Walter Rittimann and wi\e, Ferdyne Klein Rittimann, the receipt
and sufficiency whereof is hereby acknowledged and confessed, do by these presents
bargain, .sell, release and forever quitclaim unto the said Ray Walter Rittimann
and wife, Ferdyne Klein Rittimann, their heirs and assigns, all its right, title
and interest in and to that certain tract or parcel of land lying in the County
of Bexar, State of Texas, and more particularly described in Exhibit "A" attached
hereto and made a part hereof.

TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above described premises, together with all and
singular the rights, privileges and appurtenances thereto in anywise belonging
unto the said Ray Walter Rittimann and wife, Ferdyne Klein Rittimann, their heirs
-and assigns , forever; and the City of Schertz does hereby bind itself ,its
successors and assigns against ,any person whomsoever lawfully claims or to claim
the aforesaid premises.
