Dear Mr. Gilmore:
Several land owners and developers visited me last week in regard to the
proposed interchange of IH 35 with the Live Oak Road extension.
There seemed to be some confusion as to what the State would need from Schertz
as evidence of the City's intent to proceed with the Live Oak Road project.
Specifically, they asked if right-of-way for Live Oak Road need be dedicated
or deeded to the City immediately, or if a letter of commitment would suffice
until such time as the right-of-way would actually be required for construction.
For our purposes, a letter of commitment from major landowners indicating their
intent to donate will be satisfactory.
In addition to the above evidence of right-of-way acquisition, we will need a
resolution, or other evidence, from the City of Schertz indicating intent to
construct the road and that a realistic means of funding the project is being
provided for.
If you have any questions or if we can be of assistance in any way, please let
me know.
Sincerely,
aF~ P'y~
