PLANNING AND ZONING MINUTES
The Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Schertz convened
in Regular Session, Tuesday, October 9, 1979, at 7:00 PM in the
Municipal Complex Conference Room, 1400 Live Oak Road. The follow-
ing members were present:

Chairman Aguilar called to order the Regular Session of the Planning
and Zoning Commission at 7:00 PM.
#2 APPROVAL OF MINUTES - September 25, 1979
Mrs. Lawler moved to accept the minutes as read. The motion was
seconded by Mr. Linebarger. The motion carried unanimously.

#3 PC 20 OAK FOREST SUBDIVISION - UNIT III - Preliminary with option for
Final Approval
Mr. Linebarger made a motion that approval of PC 20 Oak Forest Sub-
division, Unit III, Preliminary and Final be approved subject to City
Staff and Mr. Ford's approval. The motion was seconded by Mr. Willman.
Motion passed unanimously.
#4 PC 37 GENERAL MALPAZ (DR. MAY'S APARTMENT) - Preliminary with option
for Final Approval
Mr. Linebarger made a motion to accept Preliminary and Final Approval
of PC 37 General Malpaz. Mr. Sharpe seconded the motion. The motion
passed unanimously.

#5 PRE-APPLICATION CONFERENCE - Mr. J. Harmon, representative for
Magdalena Corporation, will discuss
proposed apartment development on
Pfeil Road
Mr. Harmon discussed with Planning and Zoning Commission the future
plans for land that the Magdalena Corporation has purchased in Schertz,
bounded on one side by Live Oak Road and on the other by Pfeil Road.
The plans call for the re-construction of twelve apartments purchased
in Universal City and the future building of 24 more apartments. The
apartments would be faced with all new brick.
Mr. Sharp pointed out to Mr. Harmon that the City of Schertz and
Planning and Zoning Commission have been disappointed by the moving
in and construciton of 2 other apartment complexes in Schertz and that
their company would have to go before a joint pulbic hearing to explain
to the Citizens what they plan to do with the property.

Miss Stanhope addressed the Planning and Zoning Commission on problems
she has had with plats. Planning and Zoning Commision ask that City
Staff put together a form that was proper with the county.

Mr. Sawyer was asked about PM 78 and where the Council stood on the
By-pass. Mr. Sawyer stated that it was in the County's hands, but
that the Council had no objections to the by-pass if it didn't cost
the City.
