The LAB met in regular session on Monday, February 4. 1991.

- reported her brother-in-law will build the PBK shelves.
- corrected the hours for Friday as 10-6; to remain 10-4 on Saturday.
... is considering Amnesty weeks for the last two weeks of Feb. but will check it
out with Mr. Sweatt.
- will hire Charlotte Rawley for 6 months to help with the work load as that much
money is in the budget. Her hours will be 5-9PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
- continues to work on the Retro Conversion Proj ect - will coordinate with Ada in
Seguin.
- is having a prolilem with undependable employee help and too much time requested
by the restitution people. She intends to work it out with Mr. Sweatt.
- had a good turnout for the workshop on hard disk maintenance-included Vera.
- took Lisa to the storytelling workshop in Boerne on January 28th.
- took Mona to the workshop on Customer Service at City Hall on January 24th.
- will attend the vorkshop on book repair at District 10 in February.
- reported that Feb. 13th is Legislative Day for libraries in Austin: all welcome.
Old Business -
The check from the Schertz Bike Shop for the bikes from the police department
sale was $315.00.
Connie read a conciliatory letter from the Genealogical Society she'd received
in answer to her November letter. Gail feels that they still can't relinauish
control of their donations to the library.
The board discussed meeting room rules, made corrections, and instructed Gail
to rework and bring them back to the board.
The board requested that Gail check with Mr. Sweatt about the use of the meeting
room for a personal business on a regular basis, i.e., defensive driving.
Gerald got the plaque for Marge and presented same to her at City Council
workshop on January 9th.
Gerald announced that the Building Committee would be Richard and himself and
the other committee assignments would remain the same.
New Business -
- The Book Sale dates will be April 5, 6, and 7. Connie made the motion to that
effect; Mary seconded; motion carried. Margaret will bring sign up sheets for
the workday (Thursday whenever anyone can get here). The hours and dates will be
11-8 on Friday; 16-5 Saturday; and 12-3 on Sunday.
